Earlier today, bashed the clio into the kerb and damaged the rim, infact the rim was bent a little downwards pushing the tyre lip inwards a little. The tyre still held pressure and was good to drive home on.
No tyre wall damage, and tyre held its pressure. Movement inwards was very minimum...
They wont just repair that section of the car.
It will go 2 ways,
1) They repair all of it and his insurance pays
2) They repair all of it, give his insurance company a bill and give your insurance company a bill for the repair.
Claim off his insurance and they will repair it all.
You risk the car being written off. The car value is <£2000 and your looking about £2000 to repair that.
£300 front bumper
£150 new wing
£100 wheel
£100 new tyre
£100 wish-bone / track rod (plus wheel alignment)

I had an accident like this when i was 20 in my old XR2i.
I was going down a dark lane with a 60mph limit, in front of me was a M3, i figured if i caught the M3 up, i could follow it as i did not know the roads.
10mins later, i went rough a LH bend that had gotten far tighter than expected...
Ah,
I go out running up that way.
From mine, to the bradley inn, up too morrisons, across the road at the bus stop, back to the spar on the roundabout, turn left towards the trawl. Turn right though heading to the old somerfields on the way to the grange, back up chelsmford avenue. Out to...
I live on the bradley park.
Sold the RB 182 last october, it did have stripes & door stickers.
Oh how i miss them days, now i have a crap blue 1.6 vvt megane.
Clio use to use the rear axle thing, and on the sides the nice box section.

Can anyone give me any tips, dont want to put the jack in the wrong section and the provided sissor jack isnt any good.
Where do i put me trolley jack...
Have a Clio & a Megane.
I think the clio is easy, as it has a rail from front to back, but the megane im unsure of.
Any ideas...
I imagine it would be something like,
Drain it all
Fill with hose pipe
Drain it again
Fill it again
Drain it again
Flushing more of it out each time..

I have firestone firehawks 680 on the back of the car, they are a model that is no longer in use, have been replaced with the 700 series.
In speaking with my friendly tyre fitters, they say that they have moved onto the TZ300 series (formally 680 /700 / TZ200 / TZ300).
So, would you go...
I like the car, agree that the steering wheel is falling to bits, but they all did that.
My old 182 had the bonnet painted twice, once with the wings done. It was not crashed, just the AA man put a dent in the bonnet.
Also, it did not have a splitter, it got ripped off when i hit 2...
Would not sell it on, use it as a 2nd car to go with the 55 plate 1.6 vvt megane we have now. Would ship the other megane into the wifes names, insure as first car and use my 7yrs ncb to run the 225.
The problem with buying a car like this, you cannot guarentee the mileage, service history...
