Ive come across what is possibly the most useful bit of software in a longtime, thought I would share it with you all. Basically its called Dropbox, and after installing a client on all your machines, you get 2GB of free stroage, and anything you put into your dropbox folder is automatically...
Mate,
Not sure what you need the laptop for, but If you want something nice and compact I would recommend the Advent 4211. You can pick these up for approx £270, the momory can be upgraded to 2GB for £10....The processor can be over clocked via the bios to 1.9ghz and its a great little...
The super search service is great, and the cracked version cannot enable that...its only $29 for a years subscription.... With the cracked version you have to put an entry in your hosts file directing newsleecher.com to 127.0.0.1, but as i said, you loose functionality and its much better to...
Both mine and a mate of mines V+ box does this as well!! Whenever I turn the box on after being powered off it does it. At first I thought it was a problem with the HDMI cable, but I have since found the best way to sort it is to reset the box with the button front left....this then fixes the...
So what your saying is to ask a technical question in a IT/techical section of a car forum instead of a specialist forum that your only going to get muppet answers?
Firstly, that suggests you yourself are a muppet along with the rest of us, and secondly I love the way you always thing you are...
Ive got the Advent 4211....Its great...its a rebadged MSI wind...the latest MSI bios allows 24% overclocking meaning it runs at just under 2ghz when on mains power..plus you can upgrade the memory to 2GB from play for £10 and a 300GB hard drive is about £60.... Its a great little machine...
ESX is now free under the ESXi guise, the new version is 3.5i.... I installed it the other day and it seems pretty good...they have removed the console function so its more "appliance"..... Im doing a lot of work with Sun VDI's at present, and so Im trying to set up a little x86 solaris...
Best way is to enable remote services on the desktop, then use a program called mstsc to connect. However you will need a monitor to allow remote services in the first place....
Also this all depends on you running XP or later....
If your not too fussed about HD the cheapest and best way to get a media centre is to buy an old xbox mk1, replace the hard disk with a 300GB jobbie, and install XBMC. Apart from the lack of HD Ive still yet to see a better alternative.
Ive got a sticky screen protector, but other than that my classic is naked...TBH I started off with cases etc, but they were just cumbersome, so i ditched them... Its got scratches and s**t now, but its still usuable and TBH you can buy new OEM cases on ebay if you really want to when selling etc..
Upgrading the disk will only give you more disk space, unless you go for a higher RPM disk model, or your original disk is faulty....
As mentioned, click "start", and right click on "my computer" and choose "properties".... That will give you your memory size and CPU speed....
Am I right in saying if you have synced your Ipod with Iphones at any point, you can not then use a 3rd party app such as Anapod?
I ask because I had about 30GB's worth of data synced to my Ipod via Itunes...Then I installed Anapod on another machine, and browsed my Ipod, which worked and I...
Ive had absolutely no problems with my Acer Laptop. Everyone has an "opinion" about everything, and your going to find lovers and haters of every manufacturer.
Dont forget, ask most of the public what their opinions of a Renault are, and it wont be pretty.....yet we all still buy them.
I...
Ive been doing a lot of research into these. If your not bothered about battery life, then the one to go for is the Advent 4211 £279 in PC World...I usually would wipe my ar$e with an advent, but its just a rebadged MSI Wind, only £70 cheaper....
The EEEpc 901 seems to be the best for battery...
Lots of people been posting on here, so thought I would start a little thread...whos got the best photo of their littlun...
This was one of Maddies best ones, really captured what she was all about:
Ive just got a Kenwood KDC-311 stereo, I find that sometimes when listening to Radio 1 it will go quiet, and the stereo scans through the whole FM frequency before locking onto the signal again..its really annoying and I dont believe its due to the signal strenght as it happens all the time...
