i've had a 420A battery in my valver which requires a 520A (muppet put the wrong one in!) the 420A has no problem turning the engine over, just the initial start up in the cold its not too happy with. as it says above, its free to find out! don't go spending money and wasting time on little...

agree. i bet if you connect jump leads to your mates car (obv with his engine running) it'l spring into action every time.
was v.frustrating when RAC kept starting my car first time by doing that and i was sure it was spark plugs or distributer! but it wasn't missing a beat. hmph!

I recently noticed that the mug who replaced my battery in my valver put a 420Amp one in, instead of the 520Amps the valver requires.
Now that its been replaced, im sure im getting better response in the low revs (i.e. i have better torque)

save your pennies mate. Or get a panel replacement. Stick an induction kit in a prepare to lose to RSI's (well not quite!)

The sparks I have now are v.worse for wear. Basically if its less than 16degrees the car doesn't fire.

AIR BRAKES! standard valver. may be selling in september october time before my 3rd year at uni. money is going to be tight. So if any of you lot are old enough to insure a valver by then, then let me know. Nothing under £2k. Its only done 82,000 miles, still has orig number plates and stereo!

my rear gearbox mount (95' valver) is split and will obviously need to be replaced soon. car still changes gear but bit jumpy.
Renault quoted me £70 to do. that seems fairly cheap to me. just wondering if I can get it done cheaper than that! seeing as this was a renault quote.

you won't notice any difference yourself. but your engine will stay happy for longer. cleaner. only thing i've noticed is that it lasts longer on motorways.
