Eagle, 20 mins on track will cook most standard brake setups. Most trackdayers run 10-15 laps max before giving the car a breather! Pad n fluid upgrade is the way to go. Half the tyre tread gone in one day sounds about right! Fancy a battle round Anglesey Track sometime?

Thanks for the info, mines been acting up lately from cold, revs take a while to settle down from about 2200 rpm, and flutters about while decreasing. Once warm its fine.

While poking around under the carpets, looking for suitable rollcage mountings i noticed the soundproofing felt behind the drivers seat was damp. After further investigation involving lifting the rear seat I noticed a little mud, sand and water gathered around the 3 rear suspension mounting...

or... disconnect / remove all wiring to the seats, remove pre-tensioning devices, remove passenger airbag, fit race seats, 4 point harnesses and race steering wheel (removable, of course, for extra theft security). Then maybe fit a cage, but that probably means doing away with the rear seat...

Got mine last Sat, done 650 miles since. Previous car was a SEAT Ibiza Cupra 16v, a lime coloured one, a survivor of 1500 trackday miles on Konis, Eibach & Yokohamas + strut braces. The Cup wins, easily. More high end power, more lower down torque, very sharp turn-in, compliant suspension...
