have you changed the coolant recently?
if so you may have created an airlock which will need to be got out. leave it running with the cap off the header tank and the water will eventually boil and release the air.
an air lock will stop the coolant flowing properly and it won't get to the...
Please help if you know what could be causing this. I'm absolutely baffled but whenever I leave the car for a long time it unlocks itself.
I don't have anything valuable in it, not even a stereo but the other night someone had a look through my glove box and ash tray and left the doors open...
Do you know of anyone near the south west that can do this?
is it expensive? spoke to superchips about it once and it sounded like it was going to get silly as you're looking at paying an hourly rate at a rolling road. Obviously if you do it this way then you need someone who knows what...
you still get 30mph bends on 60 limit roads. you can't roll a car if you're driving anywhere near sensibly.
i'm no angel but that was daft. you're lucky you lived to tell the tale and, like you say, you were lucky you didn't have passengers.
what a driver! i've driven that track a few times and it requires a lot of talent to throw a car around like that.
don't think he won in formula 1 though did he? just had a few races at the back of the field, correct me if i'm wrong.
oh yeah, gutted they didn't show lap times. how...
does anybody know where to get cheap insurance for a garaged track car. i want to insure it against theft but don't think i should have to pay a normal premium as it won't be used on the road.
cheers
what sort of willy you gonna get for £1500? an abused rust bucket that needs attention i would have thought.
surely you're still looking at £2500 -3000 for a decent one
just from personal experience. i insure my valver for £500 but norwich union wont even quote me. 24, no accidents.
perhaps theyre ok for very young drivers then
i expect the '40% for younger drivers' figure comes from norwich union who don't appear to have any interest in insuring yong drivers anyway. don't think that will be the norm
are we sure this isn't a mistake/misprint? what are the official figures? 128 mph does seem a bit pants and im not jumping on the '197 is crap' bandwagon. i quite like the car. would be a shame if the performance isn't similar to its competitors'
has anyone had this problem?:
when i turn on the heater and/or fan i can hear water running and a small amount trickles into the passenger side footwell.
haynes says this can happen if the seal around the fan is knackered, allowing rainwater to get in.
does anybody have experience of...
haven't seen the k-tec but that's bound to make you're car a bit louder as there's no silencing. in terms of performance, a straight pipe is a straight pipe no matter who you buy it from. obviously a stainless one will last longer
i don't mean they're bad value for money for what you get, just in terms of bhp gained because you don't get any.
all this about 'quicker pick up' and 'free revving' is subjective. at the end of the day, if you're looking for it you're going to find it. Hence all the idiots saying how great...
i recently put my cat back on for the mot and it made absolutely no noticeable difference so its staying on.
imo breathing mods are not good value for money in terms of bhp/£. my car has cams, headwork plus breathing mods and i dont belive it has any more than 20bhp over standard so what do...
the brake lights on my girlfriends fiesta are stuck on. anyone have any idea whats going on and how to fix it? im guessing it may be a bad earth but don't know where the lights are earthed.
any help would be very much appreciated

ha ha, i hate those annoying noises that occur at 125mph. trouble is, u cant remove the...
but would u know what youre changing? i think id worry about getting the fuelling or something wrong and causing damage to the engine. plus youll never know if youve found the optimum settings without a rolling road and a boffin
wouldnt you still need to get on a rolling road to set it up? surely it wouldnt be much more expesnive to get someone who knows what theyre doing to remap your ecu?
ive been hearing a rattling sound from the gearstick area for a while in my 16v now. it happens as you rev the engine and seems to be worse in reverse. obviously the gearbox mounts are gash and im wondering if it could be related to this?
or perhaps bearings?
thanks in advance for your help
ok, ill start it off then. post your private test track/driveway 0-60 times here. i had a quick blast sat morning (on the driveway) and averaged 7.06 in my (modded) valver. reckon i can get this down a bit.
thanks to steve for prompt delivery of my g-tech unit.
Guys and girls, this is a great value, non-profit day being organised by the guys at www.xpower-mg.com. cost is £129.99 for virtually unlimited track time! loads of space left but act quick as the day is in danger of being cancelled due to lack of participants.
i did the same day in may and...
when its finally done pick it up and dont pay. then write a letter documenting all your costs, deduct them and write a cheque for the balance.
im sure i dont need to tell a future copper that he cant legally hold your car til you pay as it is your property no matter what.
as far as i can...
