I know there are a few people interested in these, so thought I'd post the link to this one for sale.
It belongs to the bloke who I bought my DC5 off. Top bloke and knows about and looks after his cars, so it should be a good one:

Is the spoiler on the Cup standard? Car looked very nice!
Was surprised to hear to stripped down Cup was still heavier than the Mini. The Mini has got a bit of a reputation for being a bit heavy. Just shows you what a porker the 197 really is!
Cheers Dan.
More pics on about page 3 I think. Also, a link to the original thread if you want a look.
Wish mine was that clean now :( Need to get off my lazy arse and give it a good polish.
I assume you have never driven one or been in one, as if you had you would know that they are completely different from ANY other 1.6 on the road!! They may 'only' be a 1.6, but they are still a full second quicker to 60 than any 1*2, and handle better. And not all of them are white either...
I am with them. They have a different phone number for Jap cars, so do not know if the people at the Jap centre are more clued up. But they have always been very helpful and seem to have known what they were on about with me.
For all those looking for DC5 insurance. A Plan, Adrian Flux and Sky seem to be the best, or certainly were for me.
At 22 with 5yrs protected NCB I was paying £1250 with A Plan.
I am now 23 with 6 yrs NCB and 3 points (too much vtec yo) and paying £1059. If I didn't protect my NCB I could...
Not bought one from Asia before. But mine has got the JDM one in and they use different frequencies over there to here, so you can't pick up all radio stations etc, so make sure that it is UK compatible.
That's cos all 1700 miles have been done by moving the car backwards and forwards around the garages, he never takes it out really ;)
But it does look very nice. I was close to getting one and would have had it in black also I think.
Probably the rubber squeegee thing most places like this use to remove excess water that caused the long scratches. I used to do valetting and if the car hadn't been washed / rinsed properly this sometime happened. Luckily most will polish out, obviously can't comment on yours without seeing them.
Agree with both. If you can change gear on or as close to the gear change light (or warning light in a 182) you will be achieving the optimum change to maintain the maximum power delivery as Noodle says.
If that gets you frustrated think you need to chill out a bit.
RenaultSport's are designed with one thing in mind, therefore I would assume that it was more for performance than economy.
But as also said on the 172 (what I had) it is called an optimum gear change light. Therefore...
What's with the attitude? I only asked a question as I had not seen it on a car before. And where did I say the Clio was an F1 car? I was simply saying that this feature is used on such car and therefore assumed this is something similar to what Renault were trying to achieve, with the 172...
Can't be bothered to read all 3 pages. The last 2 posts says enough.
What manufacturers use an 'optimum gear change indicator' to inform the driver of the best time to change gear either up or down so they're getting the maximum efficieny from their engine in terms of economy? I have never...
