The car was priced at £26,000 but I got it for £22,750 with a free service. It was registered in Dec 04 and has 1,600 miles on the clock.
I probably paid over the odds - but simply put, the only colour I had any interest in was acid yellow and there arnt many to choose from.
I managed to knock them down a little more and they threw in a free service etc. Unfortunately, once I had seen the car in the flesh there was no way I was going to leave without buying so I was essentually putty in their hands. However, I got roughly the price I was after so overall I was...
Ive been saving for the best part of a year and finally I have purchased a V6. On the test drive the car just blew me away, the handling was awesome and the noise had me grinning from ear to ear. The performance is not overwhelming but its enough. The only problem is the attention it draws...
Right, Ive been saving for months and Im finally in a position to buy.
Im desperatingly seeking a V6 - it MUST be a mk2 and it MUST be yellow. So far Ive only been able to find one yellow V6 for sale and thats at a showroom in bath, but as yet we havent been able to agree a price.
Anyone...
The best I ever ran the 1/4mile in my Coupe was a 14.3. However, thats not really representative as the more I tuned my car the slower my times got. Simply trying to get traction in 1st and 2nd gear was all but impossible and you ended up spinning all the power away. However, from 50mph + it...
Both had over excited drivers that sat wheel spinning on the starting line. However, having said that, I am yet to ever see a 350Z beat 15seconds at the pod. They are Not fast cars.
Ha ha cheeky git! - my best time of the day was a 15.1. To be fair the start line was slippery, but either way I doubt that its possible to get much more out of the cup. Has anyone got into the 14secs bracket at Santa Pod without mods?
Yep, he took forever to get off the line. If this had been a traffic light Grand Prix then I would have nailed him, but overall (because the timing doesnt start until you leave the line) he was faster.
Also on that day I beat a 350Z, a Mini Cooper S and an S2000. My best time of the day was...
Last Saturday, I went with the Fiat Coupe car club to Bedford Autodrome for a day of track racing. Incidently, there was another 172 cup also there - anyone from this forum?
Anyway, Im pleased to report that the 172 was remarkably good, especially considering the competition. It could easily...
Heres another vid of a 20VT racing a Scooby and a CTR - youll see that by the end when the speeds get silly the 20VT is indicating to overtake. Must admit though that the CTR as it passes the camera car sounds the absolute business...
Sorry, I just checked my time slips - your quite right. In fact the best I could run in the 172 cup was a 15.1s. So yes in fact the 20VT is a second faster as standard over the 1/4 mile.
Having just sold a 20VT and bought a 172 cup and having run both at Santa Pod I can confirm that they will run the 1/4mile in almost identical times (14.1 s). However, after 80mph the 20VT will leave the cup for dead and after 120mph the Scooby will also start to fall behind. Simply the 20VT...
