Simon172, the Integra may be heavier but has more torque and more BHP per tonne than the 172 by a fair way. I dont believe this has anything to do with it, no the oil thing is out of the question, this stretch of road is one of my favourites, Ive been around this section of roundies more than...

Yeah, I had a good old thrash for about 30 miles yesterday in the dry. It certainly is a quick car, but it still handles pretty poorly, it understeers and torque steers far too much, I know its got some extra horses but not enough to make this much of a difference.
Im not at all convinced...

Sellers dont take kindly to you ragging their motors around plus the reputation of the 172 also persuaded me more than perhaps it should of done.
I tell you what Slarty, come down on a track day near where I live (Im a Southern lad) and Ill pay you all your costs, everything if you can post a...
Got my 172 back and they couldnt find anything wrong with the handling, great, all they suggested was that the tyre pressure was out, but I checked that on Wednesday and it was fine????. They did find that my exhaust needs replacing (well the middle section) as the baffles are broken!!

I wouldnt lose sleep over it Tommy, my brother and good friend were both caught last year doing similar proportional speeds and they both got an SP50 ban of 28 days. In both cases it pushed their insurance up by around £80-£100 per year. Consider the fact your motor will be burning cash (20-30x)...
No, its the prosecution who have to prove you were driving the car, although if you try this route and fail (because you actually were driving the car) then youll land yourself in a whole load of sh*te.

Hmmmmm, all you guys are missing the point, extra power doesnt mean you should need less gas to get round a corner. Ive been driving for 10+ years now and had a string of hot hatches over the past 6-7 years Ive also had an Integra R for a couple of months as a company car, which incedentally has...

Yeah Ive tried all the stuff you should be checking on a regular basis, but quite simply its just not right. Ive also heard so many and I think practically everyone has had some form of manufacturing problem with their 172 that Im a bit worried that its down to a build fault.
As in a thread...

Its fair to say itll take me a while to really enjoy the 172, but I jumped back into my Pug last night and it was just brilliant, it made me smile more than taking delivery of the 172 and certainly more than driving the clio...

MMMM, 106 GTIs and VTSs have more grip than you could ever imagine, Id give them a lot of respect I can eat up practically any car on tight bends/roundaboouts in my Pug, especially RWD motors.....
Ive still got my Pug and took it out in the wet last night on the same route my 172 was so poor on. It absolutely pissed on the 172 even in the wet, I pushed it to understeer limits many times to see what my pug would do, as it should it understeered slightly but still gripped so I could still...
