Since passing my test at 17 I have driven a combination of mine, my dads, and work vehicles at length:
Clio 16v 1.2
Clio 182
Transit Connect
Toyota Prius
Golf GTI
Gold GTD
Range Rover Sport
Toyota Hilux
Never been pulled over, I'm now 22. I've always been legal and ANPR proof...
My Clio 1.2 was written off as Cat D Stolen and Recovered.
It had minor front right wing damage and a cracked front bumper. That was it. Looked like someone had rolled it into a wall at 5mph.
Especially with posts from the lad above you to go by.
For a courtesy car it should just be relatively new, in good condition and be able to get you to where you want to go. Courtesy = Polite, not, here have whatever you want.
The ESP and service lights come on when the airbag connector under the seat is dud.... it can mean a lot of different things ranging from 24p for a resistor to £xxx . Don't panic until you've had a CLIP diagnostics.
Edit: Just saw other thread.
You can cut the wires and solder a resistor between the two to stop it giving warnings all the time if you have aftermarket seats or the sensors playing up.
The 3.9ohm one from here. Seal it in electrical tape afterwards obviously. Then clear the codes and it should leave you alone!
It's like, 50/50..... I really like it but at the same time don't?
Like the colour, 1 of 29 and nicely modded.
but
Not sure if I like the colour. Ha.

Is it worse when accelerating around corners?
On mine the PAS pump whines loudly, apparently its due to a restrictive outflow pipe?
Local tyre place couldn't get hold of PE2's and called Michelin.... they said they had stopped making them and all their own stock had been sold, but that the Pilot Sport 3's were their direct replacement.
£105 fitted... boo yeah.
(work account and he put michelin on loudspeaker so I know they...
Haha, look what I did today:
And it worked!
BUT, the handle still felt looser than the other side so I had another look.
The White plastic sheath above the spring had come out if the little plastic slot that holds it in place. Took the cable tie off and it worked perfectly, with the same...
Upstream Lambda fo sho.BUT, if you know someone with a Clip who will do it for £20 on teh side then get it checked to be sure.
I had the exact same problems, intermittent holding back and misfiring that then cleared after a few minutes and it drove fine. The upstream lambda alters the...
I found these two little tidbits:
"I have cracked it!! The plastic sheath around the cable had come away from it's holder half way up the seat. Slotted it back in and hey presto!!
Thanks for your help"
"Unclipped and lifted the the cover up enough (about 4" from the bottom of the seat cover)...
The car has had this problem since I bought it and I've never got round to trying to fix it as, well, the passenger side works fine. But I probably should....
Basically, you pull the handle on the back of the seat to pull the seat forwards (to get into the back seats) and nothing happens...
My car randomly unlocks itself. Sometimes I come back to it, blip to unlock, it clunks, try the door and its locked.
Wondered for ages about it, and then caught it one day whilst I was in the garage. It'd been parked up for an hour or so and the bugger opened itself. Keys were in my coat...
The thing is mine is harder to get into 1st and 2nd now than when i got it... hence why asked.
I noticed it after a gearbox oil change which is whats weird.
Another one is a hole under the wingmirror, cant remember which side.
Mine used to do it and doesn't anymore, not through anything I've done, just, doesn't.
My stock exhaust does it. I imagine under power that it pushes air out both and causes no restriction issues.
Main worry for me is people behind think I've got some stick on halfords bits!
