I dont think any of the R26.R were standard. They all seemed pretty quick! A popular thing to tune on the continent!
I was happy to be out pacing the MEgane 265 Trophies tho. Especially as I had never driven the track before.
K-Tec did the conversion. It is 100% spot on. Really did a good job on it, and covered all the little details.
Yup, Clubsports are on the list of things for the future :)
Bought the car new, then after 12 months had the conversion done.
Impreza went ages ago. It was a 'sensible' decision, as I was addicted to buying over priced JDM parts! :)
And as you can see, I have really stemmed my spending on cars!
Hey guys, put a brief post in the gallery, but thought I should do a proper 'project' thread that i can keep updated over time.....
Standard Spec:
Clio 200 'full fat'
Storm Grey ID paint
TomTom Sat nav
Recaro Seats
Cup Chassis
Modifications/tuning:
Akrapovic Exhaust
Cup Race Car...
cheers guys!
Really pleased with the whole conversion. Feared i would miss the high revving n/a lump, but the trubo makes up for it in so many ways, plus it seems to rev to a little over 7k, so not far off (tho the turbo has run out of puff by then).
I am really looking forward to seeing waht...
Mark - name a time and date my man!
Yup, megane conversion, custom Pace intercooler, through standard cat and Akrapovic exhaust.
Running a healthy 265bhp and 335lb/ft, all throught the 200's gearbox (shorter than megane box).
Re: SHOW US YOUR WHEELS !!! (no turinis or stds ) Lets see something different !!
Compomotive TH3's
OZ Racing - but i cant remember the model!
Speedline Palmersport Cup Racer wheels
i have had a 'Povic on my 200 for over a year, and its an excellent bit of kit.
fits perfectly. amazing build quality. well within track day noise limits (tested 88db at goodwood!). quite when cruising. lovely bark when WOT. pops on gear change when warm.
Yes its a fair chunk of money. But its...
and 95% of this forum!
To the OP. For track work, go ITB's. It eliminates any heat issues that can be suffered from forced induction, plus the better throttle response etc etc etc.
I used to have a 230ish bhp ITB 182 engine in a 172. at full chat on track it was very exciting.
So what is your 'new' system going to do any differently or better? Be more track day friendly? As the Yozza with de-cat was fairly track unfriendly isnt it??
Indeed, compbrake did bypass us, which was unfortunate as it was literally a few months into our 'deal'. But as we found out back then...
should be interesting to see how you are going to revolutionise the Clio 182 exhaust, and make it so much better than all the rest.
I assume you are saying 'your' old design is so poor now that its not worth buying? (of course having nothing to do with the fact someone else supplies them)...
Had the manifold on my old 182 engine internally and externally ceramic coated.
worked well with regards to keeping the heat in the pipework rather than the engine bay.
What waas actually gained performance wise...... no idea, but i doubt it was much!
Hey all.
Not really been on the site for a while, as was out of the Clio loop for a while.
Now I have a Clio 200, I am getting back on the forums!
So can someone shed some light on what has happened to these companies and people!
Angelworks - remember they were meant to have some exciting...

whilst I agree they dont need it, can you explain why Fred??
Also, the list of motorsports that you have listed that dont use them, you say you could list more, but cant remember..... which F1 and WRC cars...
