Newsgroups with my current dire BT connection normally peaks at around 500KB/s. When I connect through a VPN (Private Internet Access) it can hit 800KB/s... win :) I have it set to always come on with my MBP connected to a UK server.

Openreach do all the cabling work, not BT.

Yeah... I work for TTB, which once was Opal as a brand but was re-alligned with the TalkTalk name so it was a complete group covering Consumer, B2B and the Network as a whole!

Sky were also in there.

I'll think you will find BT won the Daily Mail Wooden Spoon award for Customer Service in 2013... TT weren't even in the nomination list :)

TBH your best giving our sales team a call and going through your requirement. You would also need an Inbound derive from us ie an auto attended which would give you the options, press 1, 2 etc. We can offer this on NGN type numbers (08xx) or GeoFIX (01, 02)

Looking at setting up a projector in our spare room with a screen next year. Just wanting some recommendations as there is a decent selection out there and not ventured into the projector market before. Full HD would be nice, looking to use it for Xbox One and Movies via HD network player...

My rents changed to VM before I moved out and I hated it for the few weeks I used it compared to Sky's TV service. The interface and EPG is not a patch on Sky IMO. I do miss my 120Mb VM Broadband though :(

Having used the S4 for a week nearly now I can safely say I prefer my iP5 and iOS. Yes, there are some very nice features within Android but I just think there is "too" much. I personally like what iOS is and the features it offers. It's certainly very strange using the S4 all day for work...

It's ADSL2+ so it's the same speed regardless of the provider... Unless he went cable with VM.

Picked up a hardshell case from CPW which has done the trick :)
