Update... I have squared it with Brun for V6 Neil to have the spot... just waiting for Neil to get back to me for definite. The Monk, shall we say a definite yes or no from Neil by 12:00 tomorrow, and if he hasnt got back to me then you can sort out with Brun / Kelly as I dont want to say...

If you do a search for Messenger or MSN or the like there is a MASSIVE thread about this with about 100 peoples messenger addresses. I made a list at the time so if it isnt around I can post it up, but it will be wednesday next week as I am away from home till then.

I didnt have a 6k check-up and have had warranty work done twice since then, so no way it should invalidate your warranty. There has never been any mention of a 6000 check from anyone I have dealt with at Renault, though it was on the specs on their website when I bought my car.

I reckon it was Neil, when I spoke to him on sunday he was at Trax and was debating whether or not to take it on the strip... looks like he did - I told him he had to!!

Hit and miss by my experiences... They want stupid money to do ANYTHING to my 172, e.g. £160 extra for putting on a magnex or lowering (each!!) for the 9 months left on my policy... However they only asked for about £70 in total extra from Geoff for his lowering, new wheels etc when he got...

The gearbox is the main difference - you just keep your foot to the floor and change up sequentially with no clutch - this saves shed loads of time, and also I believe the cup cars rev to about 9000 rpm..... this combined with the massively reduced weight and mods makes it a slight amount...
