The original reason for stretching tyres was to eliminate tyre wall flex - presumably for track or drift purposes. So if you're stretched a reasonable amount you should be okay.

I'm proud of you, son. It may be thick, but it's a hell of a lot smaller than an ipad and people carry those around :)

I have taken on board what has been said, dropped the opposite side of the argument "Spend nothing / Save every last penny for something faster", and tried to summarise it all and get it back on topic. There are plenty of replica 1.2s that look absolutely mint and they are very reputable...
