I ended up getting a pattern part to replace it as I got 1 at a good price, seems fine to be honest and it's alot quieter too.

Well on the bright side, I guess we've all learnt lots about VTS/GTi performance, they arent to be sniffed at espeically if modded.

Could have jumped a tooth or 2.. Either way, check your belts.

Check if you can see the Auxillery belt, see if it still intact. Sounds like the cambelts possibly gone, 1 main reason for this is your aux belt failing and wrapping up in the cambelt. Dont try turning it over until you confirm all your belts are intact, you'll only cause more damage if so.

Indeed. So we can conclude if were talking 1.6 or even 1.8 Vti EK9 Civic here theres no chance they are quicker than a 1*2. If we are talking the EK9 Type R yes its slightly quicker than a 1*2.

I think we need to clarify here. Some people are obviously talking about the EK9 Type R and others the 1.6 VTi.
