Three locating plastic lugs on the top edge, three clips on the bottom edge, you need to pull the bottom outward first basically, it's either that or remove the bumper and pop them out from the back.
I've tried to do this on my mk3 and upon trying and reading various forums I think this is difficult to do on any clio due to the wings being plastic, so you can't attach the strut to it as it isn't strong enough. I'm sure there is a way you could achieve it though, but is it worth it?
There's a difference between claiming because you actually got whiplash (or anything else) and claiming because you think you might be able to convince someone you have something you don't to get a payout...
No one here is suggesting you shouldn't claim if you need to..
I think you're right, as I discovered the other day that Vauxhall plan on producing an Adam VXR, to begin with I assumed this would be a bit of competition for the Twingo RS until I read the Adam will probably run about 180bhp...
On a more related note to this topic I'm putting my deposit down...
Another +1 for Lepsons, mate just had his Vxr Alloys done in the vauxhall anthracite, they looks great, know plenty of others who have also used them and all good feedback, I wouldn't hesitate using them if I needed to :)
All of those things contribute to the insurance group, why else would you bother having insurance groups for cars if its entirely on stats? The insurance group reflects cost, performance and economy among other things. I'd like for one of the insurance guys to come in here and confirm this, or...
Yes I plan on doing a quote with them as well, but I've been quite happy with admiral and am on a multicar with my parents, I'm not sure they would be much cheaper if at all?
Done a quick rough quote with admiral and got quoted 574 for the 10 month bonus accelerator policy they do, but then when I actually come to do it ill be adding it to the multicar we have, all in all what I expected it would be and happy with the price tbh
Haven't done any for the EDC yet, but based on the fact it's one insurance group less than the old 200 and my quotes for the old 200 were in the region of 600 quid I'm expecting it to be around that
By any chance were you the blue 182 I saw take the turning before eureka park off the roundabout around lunchtime today? If it was you, no offence but you came hooning up behind me and my mate in his corsa 'burg pretty unnecessarily..
Same thing happened to me last year, neighbour with a yellow van scuffed the front of my car and knocked some trim off, once I photographed my car and his van I knocked on his door and confronted him, he wasn't aware that he had done anything (in all fairness it was a pretty light scrape) but...
Yeah possible to do it yourself but the last thing you want to do is slip even with a rag on the screwdriver :p have to admit my front passenger side one still doesn't sit right from where a neighbour scraped the front end a tiny bit D:
You might snap a couple of clips as mentioned, but you're unlikely to snap them off, I've put mine all back on and they're all fine :) I used a screwdriver wrapped in a rag/microfibre as to not damage the paint on the car
I wouldn't like to say really, I don't think it's a total rip off but then consider because mine is a 5dr there was a bit more work to do, get a few quotes before you go anywhere, don't know where you or they are based but sprayshack on here seem to get nothing but good feedback :)
I've got a 5dr mk3 and have had everything colour coded, I didn't bother with the mirror surrounds, didn't see the point tbh, cost me £80 for the lot because I know someone in the trade, I did have a go at doing it myself and I wouldn't try again, not only did I do a poor job, the colour match...
The new one. Looking at getting one but have no idea where to start with insurance, as far as I can search google I can't even find out what insurance group it is, can't find any number plates of other people's online yet to run through insurance online quotes just to get an idea.
Am I best to...
I'm assuming you've worked out how to disconnect all the plastic hosing etc and it is just the box you are trying to remove? It's held in just with plastic bits that slot into some rubbery holes, very similar to how your engine cover trim thing (if you have one) is held on, just needs tugging...
I was going to get my grill from the dealer for my mk3, turns out its really not that much more expensive, plus it's local (well it is for me, dunno how close you local dealer is) and you know it's 100% genuine, I've seen some convincing fakes on eBay
