I've got a mk3 1.4 clio and the tailgate has recently been quite temperamental in that it won't open, and I have to drop the rear seat and flick the manual switch, took it all apart last night with my dad and we tested all the connections etc, power in what seems to be all the right places from...
Check the ABS sensors on the hubs? Usually the pretty flexible rubber cable in the wheel arch, they just pull out, clean them and the area and chuck them back in, if it doesn't work then at least you've cleaned them, can't be a bad thing surely ;) other than that, gearbox speedo drive? Check...
My rears are tinted, also the shade up from limo, which isn't actually that dark I think, obviously when there's not a lot of light they do look quite dark but when the sun is shining I can actually see through to the other side of my car from the outside, never really needed to complain about...
Interesting! I have a mk3 non sport and this has annoyed the piss out of me since owning it! Think I'll give the tape a go, can't be arsed with faffing around with moving the plate :p
You're quite correct, it is indeed a Dynamique model, but the clue isn't in the name as I've put the n and the m the wrong way round, definitely intentional.
I had the exact problem, ended up just cleaning and poking mine to make it work but hopefully I can help you find it!
Remove your glovebox, if you then look at the side of the centre console, above the stereo you ought to see a black box with two hex screws, one at top and one at bottom, it is...
Interesting, I ran/run all leads down the passenger side, in my old mk2 and my now mk3, never had any interference that I've noticed at least, is it really that important? Or perhaps more important the more power your running through, bigger sub etc, mines on a little 10" active
There's usually a loom that comes through the passenger footwell, you can push the rubber gromit around the wires out to get the power cable through, but then obviously you won't get the gromit back in the hole, the only other thing as you say is to drill a hole, nothing wrong with that :) just...
I don't but to be honest the bumper removal isn't all that difficult, you just have to be prepared to put the time in just to take the badge off, as a touch guide the best way will be to get the front on axle stands and take the wheels off, remove the wheel arch liners, they should just pull out...
I never did do the front but I'm lead to believe it involves removing the bumper, the rear is easy, remove the interior boot trim and you should be able to push the expanding pins from the inside, the badge also then comes apart :)
Personally I use AG products, I find the bumper and trim gel fantastic for plastic trim strips etc, also the foaming tyre shine is a nice finish once you've cleaned the whole car, I use fast glass for the windows and mirrors, the other nice one is rapid detailer for when you've cleaned it...
I did expect the majority to say exterior and I would agree, mostly on the basis that I think it's more important to keep the paintwork looking good, I think even if the interior gets pretty dirty it doesn't take as much work to get it clean again, or at least not as much work as it takes to get...
Had an interesting thought earlier..
Everyone likes to clean/polish/wax their car so it looks very nice and pretty, and I'm sure everyone prefers to have a nice clean interior, but if you had to choose one or the other, what would it be?
Having your car looking immaculate on the outside for...
Might help if people know whether its a mk2 or mk3, my central locking on my old T reg never worked, I spent 30 or 40 quid on an after market kit that I basically wired to the central locking button inside the car, worked a dream, never died on me and frankly was a diddle to install even for me! :)
As per my project thread recently I decided to give colour coding my side strips a shot, having not really ever done that sort of thing before, I prefer hammers and spanners :D
Anyway I took a gamble on stuff from Halfords, gave them all a good rubbing down and sanding down before giving them 4...
Yeah I prefer the ktec one, it does look smart, although unlike those who also like it I don't mind the look of the sx one, certainly better than nothing, but as you say, disposable income ;)
The only hint I'm giving is that it doesn't involve this car ;)
Aha! Yeah I need the extra downforce! ;)
Considering a sx or similar spoiler, something subtle, but not sure about any of the bigger mods given my new plan of action which is top secret :)
Cheers guys, I do have some more mods lined up which I think will get a bigger seal of approval from this forum ;) and the bigger picture will definitely impress, but I'm not revealing what that is yet ;)
Ah I see, luckily my local one (although okay it is about an 8 mile drive) is pretty good, usually everything I pick up there costs me "Fiver mate", they have gotten more strict recently about making sure you wear a hi viz and safety hat though haha. Tbh if I was going to buy some new ones I...
Thanks :) Roughly what does the resistor look like? Not seen one so not sure exactly what I'd be looking at, what do you think about the rest of my car? :)
