Weren't Renaultsport models assembled at a different factory (or was that just V6s?). It's probably just a economics thing. If you only reduce the number of colours, or any other variable/option for that matter, then you reduce costs. I suppose it also means that if someone orders a car and then...
It was virtually identical to the normal Dynamique, except it came in a selection of exclusive colours, both inside and out. May have had a better stereo or something, but it was essentially just a special edition to promote that spec.
Actually, think that metallic paint may have been included...
Arctic Silver 172, aftermarket alloys, 51 plate, behind me coming out of work. I assume it was you who left the Cliosport flyer last year?
(Is it just me, or is the there no grip when joining the main road....?)
Almost forgot, also a Cherry Red 172 coming up the hill out of town on the same...
Just had a look at the website after all the great things I've been hearing. Amazed to see that Mike is such magician he can make your car levitate whilst servicing it!

Does he charge extra for this? ;) :D
Regretably they only do the Type S as a 5 door, otherwise it's be a good halfway house. The Sport (1.6) is a Type R lookalike, but no match for actual performance. I used to have (couldn't afford high insurance groups back then) and it was a nice car, but not the kind of thing you'd take on a...
Sorry, didn't mean this was a 255. Just meant that despite the 255 coming out, the original's are still pretty special and collectable. Though a little scarier!
An Initiale (probably not spelt like that!). If it's a 'Paris' maybe some kind of special edition. The Initiale's were pretty high spec (but overpriced with it) and I think they always had leather/alcantara. I do rather like those door lights - shame the 172 never came with them....
Think the...
I remember Evo saying a the original V6 that there'll be a lot of them just stashed away as collectors pieces due to being so unusual and special. I expect that still holds true even with the 255 being introduced - so it just seems such a shame when you see something like this....
Now, I don't really go in for the whole 'pimp my ride' elaborate spoilers and neon lights, etc, but surely someone's having a laugh here (apologies if this belongs to anyone ;)) ...
Well said: Unless you are really involved in trackdays and drag meets it really doesn't matter that much in the real world. If you like the look of one car over another then get it.
Stripes are a bit dubious though - what odds do you reckon I'll get on a Mk3 RS Clio becoming available in white...
Sorry, just had to check this. The 172 Cup was £12,995, weighs a smidge over a ton, so has the 171 bhp/ton (although I think that might actually be in PS), and the 182 Cuo isn't referenced on there.....
Or am I missing something? ;)
Mine seems to do something similar. I got someone to sit in the back and push on various bits of trim whilst I drove. Turned out to be the trim that goes on the inside of the hatch (covering the lock/wiper mechanisms).
Still haven't actually been able to solve it yet. Maybe some dynamant....?
Does anyone else's front wings appear a slightly different colour to the rest of the body? I've got a silver 51 plate 172, and just recently I've noticed a bit of a difference (normally at night if parked near a street lamp).
I've put it down to the wings being plastic and therefore a...
Presumably without the handle the relevant lever/cable probably isn't being pulled, so it won't tilt. If the handle's snapped off then I'd guess that means that's the weak link and nothing would have broken at the same time.
In terms of it being common, I think they're just a pretty rubbish...
Yeah, tracking was kind of top of my list anyway. Don't think it's too serious - I suspect I'm just being too obsessive about little things. Whilst we're on the subject of tracking, and this might seem a really stupid question, do the rears get 'out of track'? i know they don't steer as such...
That's the best word I can come up with to describe it. Maybe it's just my imagination, but the ride quality seems to be slightly strange recently. The rear of the car feels as though it's always jiggling around, almost as if the tyres are mis-shapen.
It's most noticable at low speeds...
