Quick tyre query, other than the speed rating is there any difference between the Pilot exalto 205/45/16 83V and the 205/45/ZR 16 83W? and if not would i notice any real difference? P.s it's for a 182 with cup suspension.
Cheers
It only takes a phone call to book your car in, it's free and takes only a few minutes to check and regrease if ok, and approx 1 hour to replace if required. They may say you have to leave the car with them but just say you'll wait to save your pride and joy being abused.
It really isn't...
Unfortunatly you lose the cruise control with the new wheel, but i must have used it twice in 4 years so i won't miss it.
Steve, i'm in wootton fields mate i'll keep an eye out for you, i've seen a few 197's recently.
Yeah your right Merk the wheel is ace!
Just wanted to show my appreciation for all those who have and continue to offer advice and take the time to post helpful guides.
The reason for this is i've successfully fitted my new Momo jet steering wheel to my 182 with no warning lights or problems, and the only reason i attempted it was...
Evening all,
Just ordered a momo jet steering wheel and boss kit to replace the one which seemed to be made of marzipan in the 182.
Apparently the boss kit comes with one resistor, but i believe i'll need 2. If this is correct does anyone know the one i need and or even better a part number...
I'd recommend the milltek decat i've got one and coupled with the rest of the system it sounds superb and revs more cleanly, especially under full throttle. The yozza decat is also highly recommended.
Happy shopping :approve:
I'm planning on ordering one of these steering wheels next week, but 2 quuestions;
just wondering with the 182 horn in the steering wheel how people have reconnected the horn and if there are any problems?
Which boss can i use to suit the new wheel?
Cheers for any advice.
Hiya mate, nice to have another 'local' lad onboard! I'd also like to point out that the dci65 van is a particular favorite on here, it's the Aston of the van world ;o)
The really sad thing is real enthusiasts who would one day love to own a future classic, whether it's an old tvr, evo, v6 clio or such like may now never be able to. It always will the little guy that get's hit first. Fact is it's easy money for the government!
The crazy thing is some new engines are really cleverly designed. My wifes new 3 series coupe tax is only 14O quid! I almost lamped the guy in the post office last year when he said "That's 205 pound's please", probably best i buy my tax online this year!
Afternoon all, i know it's early days since Renault have changed the gear ratio's on all 197 cars (early october i think) but has anyone test driven one and have they noticed much difference. I've got a test drive this weekend in an R27 but it's pre gear change mod. Just doing some research...
Wooo hoo that'll be me!! And there's me starting to think i never get spotted. Spent friday night giving her a good buffing so she was looking nice and clean, good ole Permaguard.:approve:
Morning all,
Quick question, i'm in the market to buy a new home cinema setup and a console. Before i do i just wanted to know if i could use the PS3 to record anything off the television? Would like to know rather than buying a seperate piece of kit.
Cheers:approve:
You may have accidently disconnected the wiring which sits above your feet near the pedals. It's easy to do, I did this with my clumsy feet, popped down to renault and the guy had a quick look and reconnected it in about 5 seconds. Have a look and see if you can spot any loose/broken...
Just to let you guys know that these are selling quicker than a greased wippet and stock is going!! Just spoke direct to Milltek and ordered a decat, as long as you have the system they'll sell you one on it's own. You could of course tell a little white lie. £37+VAT is a great price!!
Thanks Alan, I just did a search on exhausts probs and came across a thread about a janspeed exhaust with a similar problem. Basically a 'rasping' or wet fart noise (great discription) when the engine is revved hard. I'm guessing it's the same problem and i may need either a new u-clamp to...
