Cos so many people under rate the 1.2. Im not saying they are the fastest things out there or anywhere near RS cars for pure fun and enjoyment, but give credit where credit is due. They are fine cars for what they are.

The pug is only faster cos its about 300kg lighter than the Clio, and also made from old Heinz beans cans. @ mtbtom, Ive had 2 Mk2 1.2 Clios and if you like the 8v engine, I suggest you try the 1.2 16v. Its more torquey, more powerful and even more fun than the 8v.

IIRC, the Expession only came in with the facelift model, so I would say you have a ph2 car. Easy way to tell, if you have the goggle eye version, like the original 172 then its a Ph1, if its a kinda triangle shape then its a Ph2 Clio.
