Got up this morning to find that someone has ripped the entire driver's side wing mirror off, despite this being on the pavement side and both wing mirrors being folded back. Looks like they actually cut the wires too as the break is extremely clean. :banghead:
Anyone know how much this is...
I've had DS2500s on the front of my 182 for a while now. Did my second track day with them the other day and came away from the track with some rumbling from the brakes under heavy application. So, took the pads out the other day and the inner pad(s) on the piston side(s) have edges that seem to...
Went to Brands today for a trackday on the Indy circuit. Got some second hand 15in Pro Race 1.2s with 888s to try out and was keen to see how they performed. The track was damp and slippy to begin with, but by mid-morning a dry line had been worn in apart from Druids and McLaren, which remained...
Saw three this morning (Monday). Silver ph1 172 on the A23 Northbound. Was lowered.
Blue 172 FF southbound on the A23.
Then a silver 182 parked in whatisjustis' usual spot by the Texaco. New car?
Little video from one of the Renaultsport sessions back in May this year. The liquid yellow 182 is a Trophy in all but colour - it's a French car fitted with the Sachs dampers, Turinis and Recaros. It had a fancy exhaust as well so probably some other tweaks. Euro trackdays are great because...
I drove down through Sussex to Beachy Head today to stretch the legs. Some great roads down there, although busy with sightseers sadly. The Beachy Head road is primo, although I saw some skid marks heading into the verge on the corkscrew section. Luckily they were heading in the opposite...
I'm sure there are people who find the pedal spacing in the 182 perfect for heal-and-toe work, but I'm not one of them (size 9UK feet). Basically, the accelerator is too low in comparison to the brake pedal. So, I'd been thinking about how to improve things, and after a quick butcher's at the...
While fishing around on ebay a few weeks ago, i came across a pair of Recaro trendline seats with no reserve and a few bids. I kept an eye on it and eventually won the auction. They ended up costing me £145 and £20 for delivery. Bargain i thought, although I has no idea whether they were in good...
Here's a couple of laps from before lunch. Was shadowed by Dan from MSN cars in his 197 Cup, then <ahem> let him through (!!) for a few laps.
Oulton was great, but not easy. I particularly found Old Hall (1st corner) and Druids (long right hander) very tricky and somewhat intimidating.
Some...
Hi, first post for me. Picked up a 182 with cup packs in April and it got its first track outing last Friday at Bedford. It was a great evening and I'd heartily recommend the Renault days to anyone; good value, well marshalled, good manners on track, similarly paced cars and the chance to try...
