    Xenon gone

:D I managed it in the end, good job I took the bumper off though because it wasn't the bulb that went, there was a cable unplugged I think. Both lamps work now  However, in the process I managed to crack a bit off one of the bulbs. It still works, but isn't as bright as the other one...

    Xenon gone

I've found a guide, but one of the screws on the wheel arch is rusted to buggery and the head has been chewed. Why is nothing ever simple lol!

    Xenon gone

I might have a go at that then, any guides for that? :p

    Xenon gone

I can't see or feel the clip anywhere. Is the picture of it so I know what I'm looking for?

    Xenon gone

Ah right, I'll have to have another go tomorrow after work, the daylight has gone for today :)

    Xenon gone

I've just tried to get the bulb out to swap with the O/S, I've got the cover off, and the starter(?), but I can't seem to get the bulb out. It doesn't seem to want to twist or pull out? Is there a special technique to this black art? :p

    Xenon gone

I noticed on my way to work this morning that my N/S headlight was out. I've not had chance to check it yet, but is there any way to tell if it's the bulb that's gone or something else (ballast etc)? Also, can the bulbs be changed without removing to bumper or anything else? I believe it's a...

    Inner CV/Driveshaft Boot

Thought that could be the case, what am I looking at for a driveshaft? About £90 + labour?

    Inner CV/Driveshaft Boot

I found today my Inner CV/Driveshaft boot is FUBAR, looks like all of the gunk has gone too :( Am I looking to have to replace the shaft too or will I be able just get away with the boot? What am I looking at for parts + labour for both eventualities? Ta

Changing rear discs - quick tips

Yeah my vernier is measuring about 7.5mm but the lip still seems quite profound at the inner part.

Changing rear discs - quick tips

Cheers for the tips, I think mine need doing soon. There's no scoring or much of a lip on the outer edge, but the lip on the inner edge is more profound. Sound like they need doing?

turtlewax extreme nan tech wax stuff?

Have a read of this: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=360615 ;) Collinite 476 or 915 will probably suit your needs.

turtlewax extreme nan tech wax stuff?

Generally it do more to add to the longevity of the protection, although some waxes will also add more to the finish too. The problem with this particular stuff is that it's labelled as polish and wax, which means there's probably some cleaners and oils that will probably/possibly remove the...

turtlewax extreme nan tech wax stuff?

If this is a polish & wax in one as the name would suggest, then it's likely to be removing the EGP. Either way, there's no need (IMO) to do this as well as the SRP + EGP. Personally, I'd stick with SRP and EGP, I doubt the Turtle wax would add anything to the finish of longevity of EGP...

    Polishing glass?

Is it really that good? Hmm maybe I'll get some when I make an order from CYC again.

    Polishing glass?

There's also a Carlack glass sealing kit, it's about twice the price of RainX though.

Just been looking around at wheel brushes (for me), the Vikan sets at I4D look a better buy actually for interior and exterior: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Vikan_Brushes.html

I found the razors just dragged the fuzz around rather than removing it, that said mine was reasonably heavy bobbling. Razors might be better at tidying it up now all the fuzz is gone.

    Recommended Products Thread

For Alcantara de-bobbling, I used a bobble/lint remover from eBay for about £3. For me, it worked much better than a razor blade etc and very cheap :) A good product to add to the list is Aerospace Protectant 303, as it can be used on a good range of things. There's also the Swissvax style...

    Cheap speaker upgrade?

Yeah, I'd previously been looking at a set of Infinity Kappa 52.7's, but they seem to have all run out now, so the 5022's might be a good alternative given the price. As said in the OP, not after a great system, just something a bit better than standard.

    Cheap speaker upgrade?

Hi, I was thinking of swapping out my front speakers for a set of Coax in the hope to improve the SQ a bit. I'm not after an amazing setup, and cba fitting components etc. What decent coax speakers are available around the £50 mark? Cheers

    Greenstuff pads from EuroCarParts

Which ones are the OE ones on ECP?
  24. Scottland

    Greenstuff pads from EuroCarParts

Greenstuff will be fine on the rear, Renault want £44 and 'unbranded' ones are normally about £20 anyway - so it's only £8 extra and I can pick them up locally when I need them.

    Greenstuff pads from EuroCarParts

Just looking on ECP for rear pads, item description states: "EBC BRAKE PADS (GREENSTUFF) CITROEN/PEUGEOT/RENAULT EBC Performance Pads - Rear" part number 929545296. Are these the correct ones, they're about ~£5 cheaper than anywhere else and free deliver or I can pick up...

    Dash Polish - Whats Best?

Poorboys Natural Look for me too, only recently tried it but I think it's great. You could also try some 303 Aerospace Protectant, it has a bit more of a sheen on it than the Poorboys, but can be used for loads of things as well as the dash trim.

    Changing side light

I can barely get my had down there, I can just about reach the bulb holder but not enough to grasp it. I've not exactly got huge hands either!

    Changing side light

Just had a quick look at my side lights, and it looks like I'll need to be a contortionist to be able to get to them. Is there an easy way to do it, or is it easier by removing the headlamp or anything?
