Dampers are about £50 a corner from Renault I think?
Have you had it up in the air, are they leaking?
Give Birchdown a call, they're near Malpas not too far from you. They'll be able to tell you what the problem is, very good prices too.
As above, seems over priced and that's a lot of interest on finance, that's about £1000 more in interest than an equivalent bank loan which wouldn't be secured against the car.
Insurance seems expensive, but could be down to your area. Give greenlight a try, they were great for me.
Not mine, but going quite cheap:

Someone needs to buy them, before I'm forced to. :S
I'm going repair a few small scratches on the lower part on one of my skirts. It'll be much easier to work with off the car - but how easy are they to remove?
I just put in the machine or soak them in a bowl with some fairy. Gets rid of all the product on them, but doesn't really rid them of any black stains from the car I've found.
I'd go for the Sonus Wool Mitt and Der Wunder Drying Towel, and a couple of good plush Microfibre cloths for buffing. Don't forget applicator pads too, these are only a couple of quid.
Autoglym SRP is a good and comparatively cheap polish that has fillers to hide any swirl marks. With regards...
Most of the ones on eBay are Asian imports and work with all frequencies but lack RDS. Meaning no "Radio x" just 99.9 etc, and more importantly no Alternate Frequencies (AF).
I have one of these units and I'm forever tuning it in, and receptions is pretty poor on Alpine units anyway. Other than...
Easier if you jack it up, but you can manage without. It'll just look like damp patches where the fluid has soaked into the grime attached the the shock.
Front or back? Back ones take about 10mins to do yourself, fronts are a bit more complicated but perfectly doable.
Not got them myself, but they're supposed to be a decent enough combo. Will probably be going for that combo when mine are due.
Are you just after front? Yozzasport and K-Tec do a decent deal for Discs+Pads+Braided lines
If they're EBC discs - I don't think they have the bearings and ABS rings with them (rear discs only) - were you aware that package was for front and back?
I emailed them the other day asking if they did (emailed the EBC website) and was told this.
Also, you can get Brembo MAX discs for about...
Aux belt is due at 36k, it's easiest to change the aux belt at the same time as the cam belt - but yes they can take out the cam belt if they go.
Aux kits (incl Tensioners etc) is about £110 from Renault + Labour
Edit: Just noticed your car is a 1.6 not a 1*2, so may not be applicable.

Should take you to the catalogue
Below are the RedDot ones from MSW

I've noticed recently I've a whine under acceleration similar to a turbo noise, mainly in 4th/5th. Also, in the last few days I can hear what can best be described as a 'wurring' noise.
After a search around here, it would appear this may be the aux belt - or rather the tensioners/pulleys - does...
The ones on brakeparts.co.uk show with bearings and ABS rings for 37+VAT a disc - they should be fine should they not?
MSW are also showing some reddot 6 grooved discs listed as 'with abs' for £110 delivered - doesn't say about the bearing though.
You'll need ones specifically for the 1.2, I believe Eibach sportlines are the spring of choice and drop 30-35mm. Apex are cheaper and drop more IIRC - but the ride quality will suffer.
Edit - the Eibach Prolines will drop 30mm on a 1.2, the Sportlines will drop ~45mm on a 1.2
As previously stated - you'll need discs and bearings although it doesn't make it any more difficult to do really. Cheapest I've seen a set of discs for is about £150 a pair.
