I've got each key separate key in each barrel. I'm sure it's either something stupid or a broken wire in the car. Without a proper wiring diagram it's a pain in the arse.

Yeah I'll stick another on charge tonight. I thought it could have been the battery as it just gave up starting after testing the plugs. FYI it's a dry cell battery. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Yeah. If I remove the key reader thing around the barrel I get the flashing light but I just get a solid light which I believe is an electrical fault

Hi guys, My 172 cup won't start. I get the classic cracking with the red light on constantly. It cranks a few turns then gives up. I've got another identical cup and have swapped over everything I can think of but it still doesn't start. It was running last weekend but when testing the...

    Cylinder misfire

I read the codes with one of those bluetooth plugs and the Torque app. While trying to ascertain whether i was getting a spark from all of the leads the immobiliser decided to get stuck on and wouldn't let me start the car. I swapped over the ECU, UCH and ignition barrel from the other car but...

    Quick electic window question

I'm going to get a Haynes manual tomorrow so I can see the wiring diagram. I've looked into it and it appears it could be a number of things but I know the motor is fine as it works if you bridge the connection from the drivers side motor.

    Quick electic window question

Hi Guys, I have a simple question relating to electric windows on a 172 2002. Perhaps someone can test it if nobody knows the answer. My newly acquired 172 has had the interior removed and only the drivers door electric window switch is plugged in. the passenger side has been removed. using the...

    Hi guys, new member

Hi guys, I've just joined and I'm looking to get a clio to use as a track day car. I'm not new to track days and I've got a kitcar but it's not practical in the winter and the rain so wanted something fun which I could use all year round. I was also looking into racing it at some point but at...
