My CUP seems the same as yours tbh. Sounds about right, i tend to not be looking at it to much, i just happen to catch the green light in the corner when i need to change.
Hi, good choice in car going for the 182.
Upgrades wise, there are plenty about, and im sure people will tell you if something is a good buy or not if you ask about it.
It all depends how much cash you are willing to throw at the car.
As for how they cope against astra turbos, im not sure...
Totally agreed with that!
I personally live on a council estate, and if you actually looked at car crime on the estate, you'd find it was very low. Reason being is that they are not stupid enough to steal from their own doorstep!
it doesnt help im close to the city centre either. But if i...
get the adaptor plate from k-tec
http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1013&pic=1
The plate you need is part of that kit, but i cant see if they do the plate on its own, so might be worth calling them up.
You wont really get a non biased answer to this sort of question really. As a 172CUP driver, id say buy the CUP, but at the end of the day, it is down to what you want from the car.
best bet is to test drive a couple, and see which you like best.
Fairy liquid works fine ;)
Only kidding!
I currently use Zymol shampoo from halfords. I usually put a half capfull of zymol cleaner wax in the bucket too, make sure it gets mixed in properly, and it really does bring a nice shine to the car when dried. Ifs good if you dont plan on...
I cant understand anyone that would pay someone to fit new brakes for them.
It really isnt that hard people. I fitted new brakes and pads up front on my cup, all parts cost me £110. And it took me less than an hour to fit both sides.
f**k paying someone over £200 to do it.
As for servicing...
i'd have turned round and chased them down. Then given them a right f**king piss baller why its not safe to overtake on a bend.
Some people are just far to impatient for their own good, and will no doubt end up dead or worse killing someone else, just because they want to get to their...
Getting the grill out with the bumper on is easy enough. i did the same. You just undo the bolts on the undertray, whack the grill out, then pull it out the back.
Cut your hole, then put the grill back in the way you took it out.
As for the feed, i just pulled the pipe through the hole...
It depends how you like to drive at the end of the day. As you have a Delta at the moment, im guessing you like to drive hard and fast.
Either version will do this, and do it well. but as Largerlout has said, the CUP is very much more the drivers car.
No it doesnt have all the toys, but what...
It does look tastey in that colour with turini's on though. Almost as good as the CUP, lol. But seriously though, the wheels look better on the Red than any other Full Fat colour imo.
I think Ali has been confused though, the request was for the best pic, not all of his pics, lol.
Looks nice, but then it would seeing as you've nicked the best bits off the CUP ;)
when ever i change from one to the other, the car always plays up the first time i start it.
As i let the petrol light come on before filling up with petrol. So it never wants to start after i put in a different grade of petrol. Once the first start is out the way its fine.
I tend to...
Trust me, you have to hand it back standard. I did the same with my 1.2 a year or so ago. As for warranty, anything you change will void the warranty on that area of the car. So if you lower it, anything related to the suspension will be void, same with the exhaust etc.
Just make sure you keep...
Go to halfords for your wiper blades!
I paid £12 for a new set of front blades. They are halfords own, but they do the job. if you want the bosch ones, then they are only a few quid more. Wont really be any cheaper buying them from ebay.
As for the servicing, its the 12k service i assume, so...
I've used autoglym stuff on fabric hoods before, and it works a treat.
Try not to get the hood wet when you wash the car, then get the hoover out. give it a good going over with the hoover, with one of the attachments.
Then the autoglym stuff comes in two bottles, with a white sponge thing...
Thats exactly what i was thinking. Just because you put coilovers on your 5.5sec CUP *sniggers* doesnt mean the standard setup is bad.
If they handled like s**t, then why do magazines etc rate them so well?
I think someone needs to engage their brain before the type next time.
My CAF is red too on my cup. I planned on painting it blue or black, but have since decided to leave it red, as i think it just makes the front look a little more agressive.
I had a fiddle with my air feed the other day, as because room was very tight behind the TOP grill with the BMC on, the...
IIRC it was about 2000 odd cups made, slightly more i think.
What with winter accidents etc, i'd imagine that figure is now down to about 1500 left.
As for 182 CUPs, you can buy a 182 CUP, so it doesnt have leather etc, but its no where near as hard core as the 172 CUP was. I think the...
