Thanks for the advice, im not desperate enough to let it go for less than its worth, but i would like to see it gone fairly soon.
Perhaps i should pay my fiver, so i can stick it in the for sale section here, unless a mod wants to move this thread for me ;-)
As i said, i'd ideally like about...
There is a lot of these threads lately, but whats my car worth?
Its a 52 reg CUP
46ish thousand miles on the clock
Magnex Cat back system (cant put back to standard as that one fell off, s**t renault parts!)
BMC CDA Induction Kit, with Cold Air Feed. I have the standard box, but the grill has...
I have a magnex fitted to my CUP with a BMC induction kit. And the power delivery has been much smoother since fitting these. The 5k kick isnt as noticeable, but its still there. As has been said, the power smooths out, so it isnt as prominant.
However, as has been said, i think 50mm is to...
I think thats a forum members car. mike T i believe.
And considering that sequential gear box probably cost the best part of £10k i doubt the car is fucked in any way shape or form.
*Awaits thread, asking for new inlet manifold cause this ones fubar'd"
Good luck though mate.
As Ben said, if you dont know the answers to those questions, then i wouldnt attempt it myself, unless you know someone who does know what they are doing and is there to teach/watch over you.
I had a little play with a Passat estate once, dont know what engine it was, but it wasnt slow. But even so, it was no match for the acceleration of the CUP.
He got pissed off in the end that he couldnt get passed me, so overtook me and about 3 other cars on a blind corner. It obviously made...
Renault charged me £45 for new pads too, but i needed them fast, so couldnt wait for them to be delivered, and there was no way i was using cheap halfords s**t.
I have given them some proper stick on the back roads too, and havent had any problems with them at all. I did replace my disks at...
I think you'll find the bolts come with the disks mate. They certainly did with my new front disks on my cup.
EDIT - Just re-read the post, lol. I assume you mean what size bit to use?
I think it was about 4mm.
If he can ride the bike properly, he should leave you sitting. However the fazer isnt the best bike for slinging through the bends, but he still shouldnt have any problem.
If you do beat him, then he is a pussy and cant ride a bike properly, and should sell it to someone who can, lol.
Im...
I use Zymol Cleaner Wax, and if you do what the instructions say, and after buffing off, you give it a light spray of water, and buff up again, the shine is soooo deep.
I also use the Zymol shampoo, and find that very good too (with a splodge of wax in the same bucket) you then dont have to...
For the RS model, id say between £150 - £200ish for the 48k service
Ring around a few dealers and get quotes, then play them off each other.
If you are near either rentech (portsmouth) or GDI (cambridge) then get your service done there, as they will be cheaper, and wont thrash your car...
Just as a guide, i got a book from renault in the post the other day with extended warranty prices in, as they still think i have my old 1.2 clio which i got rid of last year.
Anyway, for the sport range, an extra years warranty is about £800 at my dealers!!! Dunno if thats everywhere, or just...
I was going to say the same thing.
get your suspension checked, as i've had a 1.2 clio, and i pushed that very hard, and never once got it to lift off on the roads.
You either hit a pot hole that kicked it up, or your suspension broke!
if it doesnt fit properly, it would probably be a waste of time having it on the car in the first place.
You'd be better off, buying a specific kit for your car.
In that case i was wrong, lol.
Just went on letstorquebhp.com
and used the 2005 model scooby STi which weighs 1480kgs.
For the same bhp/ton it would need 570bhp. So i'd imagine that would be silly money to get that bhp from the STI.
But as i said, i dont know how much Matt has spent on...
Well mint cups with low milage are going for £7.2 - £7.5k at the moment. so those with 25k miles on at the moment, are maybe a £7k car, perhaps £7.2k
So at the end of the year, with the realease of the new RS model, i think you'll be lucky to get £6.8k for it tops.
Im just waiting for someone in this thread to say
"It doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winnings, winning!"
Its all relative at the end of the day, yes Matt's clio is one fast car, and very impressive. Yet if you spent the same sort of money on the cars you are showing up on...
did someone leave you lots of money in their will? Or do you rob banks for a living?
I couldnt even dream of having that much money kicking about to spend on a turbo for my car, nor the £2k price tag for insurance!
Quality work.
Much better than i've ever gotten with my PC. But then i think thats partly down to the products used.
Plus i dont think my technique is quite right. As after about 4 hours, i start to get very bored of polishing, so tend to rush it to get it finished.
Still gets good...
