If I didn't like my 200 I would be the first to try and help a fellow enthusiast avoid making the same mistake.
If I'd come from a 197 and into a 200 and it was exactly the same car then I would help the OP out by advising him to go the route of the 197.
Fact is that there seems the a lot...
I think you should only take advice on this from people who have actually moved from a 197 to a 200.
To sum up I've not read anything on here from folk who have saying they regretted it at all.
My FF 200 was £13,150. (Would have been 12,999 if GW wasn't £150 ;).
But the middle of last year the dealers were $hitting themselves - today £16k is probably as cheap as you'll find.
The TC on the 200 seems to be a warning that it's wet on the road - but as I'm not blind it really serves no purpose other than to occaisionaly flash when pulling away from a left / right turn too quickly.

Not quite £16k but worth a call to see what they can do :)
Actually the nose (or the tongue etc) seems to have survived almost intact - Almost a defiant finger up to the haters ;)
OP - Hope it all get sorted without too much $hite from insurers - Glad you seem to be taking it in your stride.
What price ?
Anyone offering a car at "cost" price then including additional items for no additional costs is probably pulling a fast one !
Unless you are dealing with a close friend :)
I had a suzuki swift before I got the 200 ;):D.
You don't sound convinced that you think the 200 is different enough (and you even sound like you may think the 200 will be less of a car in some respects).
I reckon you should wait a year and see how you feel - the Next Clio is bound to be...
Reckon you'd be lucky to get the guy to agree to the swap to be honest.
on the face of it you'd get the better deal.
5 owners could be an issue - put in some deal breakers and take along an expert to the swap to have a good look over the car.
Renault are obviously aware that fools and their wad are easily parted.
£1,500 to remove two perfectly good seats, 4 perfectly good wheels, replace 1 perfectly good chassis and replace a perfectly good car with a great car suited to smooth tracks but not any sort of road where you can test...
