i have done a few of these now. So you locked the crank and the back of the cams with the correct tools.
If you used to tools to to lock everything in place them I can't see how it went wrong. Did the engine turn over OK by hand before you started it.
Another possibility is that the dephaser...
Well the car has had some bigger issues than the paint. Its recently started smoking under load at high revs. Also it's using oil.
So I had my old written off Clio 182 on my drive so I have been busy removing the engine on that to put in the RB. I'm stripping loads of bits off it to get powder...
Hi all.
I have just taken out the engine and gearbox out of my Clio and was wondering whilst the engine is out is it worth having the gearbox rebuilt. I know gearboxes can be quite weak on Clio 182's. I'm getting loads of stuff powder coated before I refit it so it doesn't matter if the gearbox...
Hi everyone. For those interested here's my project thread on my RB 182. I recently brought this from Lal b3n. It was worth the 6 hour drive.
Since getting the car I have fitted washer blanks. Recaro seats. Euro rear lights and carbon dash trims.
But my main concern is the swirled and orange...
Hi all
I recently brought a RB 182 after my silver 182 got written off. The silver one had a Ktec stealth exhaust. The RB has the scorpion with a decat.
The scorpion is a horrendous fit. The Ktec fits extremely well. So I'm thinking of swapping the Ktec to the RB. The scorpion has had a hanger...
I have just brought myself a RB 182 I have got a set of turini's which need a refurb but don't know if I fancy a change from anthracite. I got the original 182 alloys in anthracite which I will keep the same colour. Has any one got any pics of RB Clios with silver turini's or do you think...
I did my 182 cambelt myself and I used the genuine Renault tools. I work as a mechanic so I wasn't put off by doing the cambelt. It's pretty straightforward. I just took my time and uses the correct tools. My Clio is running fine and has had no problems with it since the belts have been done...
Looking to spend around £3000 but must be clean as I'm into detailing big time. Must be a full fat as well. With average mileage. Willing to spend a little more for the right 182.
Looks like the car is going to be written off. I'm going to buy it back just for the turini's and exhaust. Then I'm on the hunt for a racing blue or artic blue.
Hi everyone.
I have had my 182 for just under a year now. I'm normally posting pics on detailing world but thought I would post some here.
Gave it a quick wash with two coats of wax.
Hope you all like it.
I have done a few of these now. I just use a high quality jubilee clip to compress the tensioner spring. Then I just put the belt on the crank pulley as much as I can then rotate the crank and let the belt rotate on. Works every time for me. I had no need for levers. Hope this helps a few of...
