Whoa! It's not as simple as that!
Most 'Fully Synthetic' Oils are completely shite and well overpriced, including the majority of famous branded ones.
If you like your car, get Silkoline Pro S 5W 40. Should be about £50.
If you don't, Halfords own 'Fully Synthetic' is ACEA A3 rated, and...
Michelins all the way.
And you really don't wanna be running different tyres John Lloyd. My friend Andy did just this on his Trophy. He had to stop in a big hurry, one side gripped, one side was released by the abs, one Trophy in the hedge.
Sorry for hi jacking, but does everyone else's full fat return 37 mpg urban? Thought mine was a healthy example. I don't run with the air-con on, apart from the occasional burst to clear the windscreen. :(
Maybe mine's fooked too then! I drive her pretty gently most of the time. I'm going on a 4 hour motorway run on Fri, I'll reset the trip and see what I get @ 70.
I take it you've done the obvious stuff, like inspecting the air filter + inlets?
172's are incredibly thirsty for a 2 litre coke can, but you should be able to get at least 27mpg urban, and at least 35 on a run. Any less, it's wallet clobbering time. Have you got a local friendly garage with...
I only run Michelins, very good tyres imo. It is never worth buying poor quality rubber. I work for Kawasaki btw, not Michelin, in case you were wondering....
There have been numerous complaints regarding poor quality welding, and a small batch (of 10 I believe) where the centre section of the system was only tacked together!!
I'm in the same boat as you, failing exhaust but don't know what to do!
I might go and inspect one personally at K Tec...
Certainly sounds like the fuel rail guard to me too. 2 x 10mm bolts, but you'll need a fine socket to get down the holes (1/2" drive probably won't fit). Just tighten her back up if she's come loose, not a good idea to remove. Without it, in the unfortunate event of a hard front knock, the...
Hi, I've got a weird one for y'all, my headlight units keep twitching up and down (very slightly) on their own. Is this normal?!
The car is stationary, but the servo motors behind the headlights can be heard adjusting the height of the beams constantly!
Has anyone else experienced this...
