When i traded my 1.2 in i was 21 with 3 yrs no claims and tesco insured me and my dad as a named driver for £1200 fully comp on the 172
this year i have 4 yrs no claims and if i had not been banned it would have been £700 but instead its gone up £200 to £1422. Thank god for the student loan...
in november 2001 a 51 plate it was ok till i decided to open it when it was hot then it did nt stop rattling, well more of a squeak especially when going over bumps in the road. apart from that it was faultless and only decided to trade it in because i wanted a 172 and the free insurance ran out
I always check my mileage and reset the trip before leaving my house, i then drive no faster than 50 so that the average speed reads usually around 20-35. if they have taken it out and decided to traet it like a racing car i can tell because the average speed moves up when if they are using it...
sunroof rattle is common on 1.2 16v it drove me crazy so got rid.
electrics went on my mates but it was quickly sorted under warrenty and has been fine since.
nice cars actually i liked the drive of mine
how much for your kit plus rsport ecu and what would the benefits be. i suppose no major power gains but an increased throttle response and a quicker feel to the car. yes?
thats only if they have decided to be allowed to keep the revenue from the fines. the ones where the fines go back to the government have no official guidelines. so i have been led to believe anyway
172 i would say for company car, got xenon lights, abs climate etc and the new ones come with cruise control. would be better for traveling long distances. cup may be more fun but when your out working every day the creature comforts may be missed if you go for the cup. never driven the cup but...
got my 1.2 dynamique to 120 going down a hill and it could of kept going but i eased off as it scared me, havent even got my 172 to that speed yet.
prob not an accurate speedo tho
this import issue happened to me and is still in the process of being sorted out. problems are different tho.
if they have not specifically told you it was an import which they were aware of you may have a case, especially if it was sold as a uk car which has an alarm
when my exhaust went they wanted me to pay 20% of it but i refused stating if it doesnt need an MOT for three years the exhaust should last that long and in the end got it changed for nowt. wish i could do that with the tyres.
refuse and kick up a fuss and they should cave in
only problems i have had is paperwork issues about cars origin and the 4k rattle oh and the alarm. no squeeks or rattles touch wood. superb to drive and i just love going onto motorways and dual carriageways always have to slow down to get on them tis great
