Just wondered how much people would pay for a pair, basically the same as the carbonnut ones that were produced a few years back.
They would fill the big gap left when stripping out the rear of a clio mk1.
Wouldn't say de-handle is euro, its more changing the handles to something different.
Basically you just need to get it as low as possibile on the widest set of wheels with stetched tyres!
Eh?!
The 1.7 bottom end I believe was in both the volvo's and the 1.7 5's not 100% on that, but the 1.4 head doesn't fit on the 1.7 bottom end if thats what your suggesting.
1.7 turbos are about 135bhp standard, but I know Haz at nocturnal developments has had well over 200bhp out of his...
Yeah true, thats only really an option if you have a trailer etc that you can use and you can live without the car for a longer period of time :)
Agree on the price above aswell :)
Awesome car, one of the quickest around can't remember if its running high 11's or 12's now!
I miss my old GTT aswell, did buy another tungy recently to sort out, but didn't have the time to do anything with it :(
If you want to save money then strip down the car and do the prep work, then take it to a spray shop and let them do the final bits of prep, and the final spray job, then put it back together yourself, will save on the labour costs and you are more likely to get a better finish at the end of it :D
Its a good engine, but I can see what others are saying about going for the 172 lump.
If you are serious about doing it, then the guys at Nocturnal Developments would be a good starting point for discussions regarding the conversion, they have finished off the exact conversion you want for a...
If you don't weld then you are increasing the risk of cracking in the summer months, as many glues will expand in the heat and then you run the risk of cracking the paintwork over the top of this.
I prefer them fully smoothed off and then some, like mine ;)
No point in just covering it IMO, might aswell make a direct replacement, engine covers are available, and dash inserts should be available soon aswell ;)
You need to weld behind the boot lock, needs to be a good quailty weld behind aswell, you want to use as little fillar as possibile as then its less likely to crack.
Solenoid kit for the boot is about £10 I think, you can get them off ebay cheapily enough and they are really easy to install...
Depends what kit you go for when getting airbags, if you spend the money and go for the top of the range then the ride will be good, where as the cheaper kits then you will find that air is spread across the bags when going round corners etc, and thats why its a bad ride.
Need to spend...
Basically the wing mirrors I had on my clio looked shite! And many others may think so does the whole car lmao!
But just after some inspiration really for a different set, looked at other motorbike mirrors but they are just too small, like the look of the Manta 400 style mirrors, but just...
Not a fan at all myself, I used to have fun in mine by switching off the ignition and blipping the throttle and then turning it back on! Used to create a nice flame and bang, but that was generally saved for when someone was to close to my back bumper!!
350bhp is achievable from a GTT lump, but not going to do it with K-Tec parts, you need to going down the custom built route to get the power you want.
Seperate oil cooler is handy if your going to use the car for track days etc, as for the copper core rad comment above, I would personally...
I have that camera, not really played with the features properly yet, but the picture quality is superb :D
I need to invest in a guide to using it propery really.
