Coatech in Dundee is recommended. Powder coat them. Sure they'll have a website? Other than that I'm not overly sure about other places? Would be interested to know this too
My car did this. Turned out to be the plug on top of the pedal. Think it's the throttle position sensor? If you take it out, clean it up and then plug it back in, I strapped it down to make sure that it was in place. Never had a problem since :)
So after my long awaited driveshaft was replaced today I took it out to see if the knocking, squealing, banging noise was gone... Fantastic, it was. However now upon turning left sharply and on a fast sweeping corner or a sharp corner( left turning) there is a new knock/judder from the wheel...
I know there's only slight play in the shaft, I'm well aware its doomed. I will replace it and hope for the best just thought i'd get some others' experience about gearbox failure...? Thanks for the help man.
only in one direction, when turning towards left (would stretch the driveshaft?) its slightly noisier and when turning towards right slightly quieting the noise. Gearbox felt the same as normal but was assured its it?
Ok, I notced my driveshaft was failing a while ago and I've been really lazy to get it replaced. Having recently purchased the new driveshaft my intentions were to sort it this weekend. However I took it to my mechanic as it's now started juddering in the gearbox area(?) when accelerating...
I'm looking at changing my drivers side driveshaft, also changing my abs ring. My query is... how many teeth does my ABS ring have/need?
It's a 1.2 16v clio.
Thanks
Your emissions will be right without the cat in it. The reason the cats there is to clear the emissions.
Call rentech for second hand springs and driveshaft, offer 3 months warranty.
The abs could be an abs ring. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
What wheels are they? They are VERY VERY VERY slow. Heard some shocking stories. Diamond wheels up behind the BMW garage are highly rated although pricey! Easy to DIY but god knows the finish.
Ok, so hopefully I'll be picking up a sport body kit tomorrow and was wondering whether I'll need a van or if I'll be able to fit the full sport body kit in my clio?
It's the front and rear bumper, wings and skirts also? Anyone tried this before?
