Borders are quite easy in CS or Elements, just go to Image > Canvas size, set the height and width to say 0.8, set the anchor point in the middle, set the colour to black and click OK. This is today's image. Still Life

You can always just add another sky only takes 1 min in photoshop. To make it look better all you need to do is feather the edges so it blends in better.

Yes the on-board flash does trigger the SB600, I know as I've done it on my D80 & D300s
