Well the 3rd clyinder from left to right (no 2 then?) the spark plug was pure black. Is there a way to test flow rates just by plugging it in?

think I have them the wrong way round them? I am sure the gearbox is on the right of the engine as i look at it from the front of the car. Just been out and done 15 miles in stopo start and some foot down and its ran 100% perfect, yet I have done nothing from when it ran like shite this morning.
