On valver/willy. Is it to help cooling the engine? If you put a normal bonnet on a valver would it run too hot?

when you say suspension looks close what do you mean? The bottom of the mounting plate because that wont change with shortened struts.

Mine did this quite badly and it was just a loose spark plug. The ticking was the spark jumping the gap. Might be worth checking? Otherwise noisey injector probably.

RSi box gains you about a second to 60 I believe. I have the RSi box and mine definitely seems quick for a 1.4 Dont know about the ratios Im afraid but I would love to know what they are for all the boxes. Anyone got them?

Sorry just to butt in, there were no mk1 1.4 multipoint injection clios, they are all single point injection. I have one of the latest mk 1s (1998 1.4S) and it is the same engine as the earlier RTs as far as I can tell. Although as mentioned it is supposed to be down 5bhp on the earlier...

MIne are mounted on plastic interior panels just infront of each door. Makes it easy to wire everything up.

Mine did the exact same thing a couple of months back, okay its only a 1.4 so you wouldnt expect it to go very fast in 5th anyway, but it was just like there was a rev limiter, only did it in fifth and just would not accelerate at all.

Had a bried look into 9000s but to be honest there seems to be so many turbo variants it was a little confusing. Are all the 2.0ltr models the same engines with different states of tune? How much more powerful is the 2.3 turbo? Any advice if looking to buy one?

Mate, get yourself some spring compressors and do it your self. Its very easy.
