Could be a leak in the fuel line. This would mean that any standing fuel would leak overnight but when fuel is forced through after pouring some in then there was enough pressure to get a constanst flow. Not a common problem on clio's though

Re: Clio mk1 Dick and Pads
This is exactly what I'm doing init. Don't buy new calipers though they cost a mint, got my vented + grooved red dot discs for £20 brand new! The only reason I'm doing it lol

Yea sorry, was away. Bent backbox. The pipe had somehow been smashed into the box and was making the mounting bracket really high, hence the top of the back box was reverberating on the underside of the car. Finally fixed this problem when a logged jumped under my car and took out the whole...
Ever noticed the B*ST*RDNG clips that come as standard on the bottom hose, mk1. Took me forever when I changed my radiator. Nothing goes right for me when I fix my car. My most recent conquest was rounding off a union nut on the rear drum. I know, drums, fantastic.

It is stamped on the Calipers. If you have alloys you can normally see anyway, if not you may need to take off the wheels. However being a french car the front and back may not be the same and this is a terrific pain in the a*se to find out the hard way, as I did. bummer

I'd say still use heat resistant paint, because the lacquer and primer will heat up and still transfer it to the paint. Worth spending a couple of pennies to be safe.
I'm changing my front discs on a mk1 clio 1.4 to vented and grooved, I know I need new calipers but do I also need new hubs? Would be a bonus to know before I get under the car. Help me please!
cheers ALi
Haha complaining about that when being 17 just got my first lame 1.4 and premium is £1250!!! That was £200 cheaper than anyone else, insurance sucks.
Try Lifesure, boomting cheap
Go for an alpine/pioneer HU if you can, they have the best equalising options + tend to have more pre-outs. For the leads look up autoleads online or go to halfords about £14.
About the old one you bought, definately see standards office!
