Agreed, an easy job if a) you can be arsed and b) you have the means to do it.
An oil and filter change for the price of a tank of fuel to me was money well spent.

Just a quick shout to both of the MK1s which I saw recently "giving it the large" on her majestys highway.
Nice to see the full potential put to use demonstrating the Clios versatility on both motorway and B class roads.
Just had a 6000 mile oil & filter change at my local Renault dealer £35.23 all in (oil filter, sump washer & labour)
I did supply my own oil as if I had left it to Renault I would have got the wrong grade.

If you want the daddy of all mechanical steering lock type devices - get a Disklok. OK at £80 its expensive but it is a mutha and comes top in all of the security tests I have seen.
It completely covers the whole steering wheel. Ive got a nice silver one but you can also get them in yellow...
I had a Concept 500 on my old VTR. The only problem I had was a faulty bonnet switch. This was replaced without any fuss and performed its job flawlessly afterwards.
A lot of problems seem to stem from the installation of the system. If the system is correclty set up then it will be fine...
One other thing, if the full cage is installed you will be unable to use your sun visors (they will be permanently up due to the cage passing directly underneath them).

having been in the car with a cage fitted I would recommend some padding for the door bars(prevents banging your elbows) and the part of the cage that passes close to your head (from B pillar towards windscreen).
If you did (god forbid) have an accident it could be possible for you to...
A mate of mine had a Williams 1 with an OMP bolt in 6 point full cage, door bars and even a diagonal (removable) that fitted in the rear.
Yes girlfriends will hate it but it looks the b****cks and makes quite a difference to the handling.
Oh yeah he had it painted in Williams blue to match...
