Now the gear assembly is fixed it needed realigning. A pain as always but it's now perfect - along with the Redline MTL it feels fantastic Slight notch 3rd to 4th at 5K+ rpms if I am fast on shift but it's commonly known these boxes cant be rushed, I don't know the full history of the box but...

    197 steering wheel in a 182

I fit my 197 wheel using a custom ordered flat washer: Length (OD) 29 Internal (ID) 20 Thickness 6mm Material stainless304 2mm washer bent as it was too thin, went with 6mm as recommended by one of the users on the forum. (In fact I think it was @GrahamS on Youtube?) This also brings the wheel...

    ‘Bonnie Blue’ The RB 182

@Advikaz I have no idea, luckily others do I have a bunch of other wires that are on their last legs though 😅 Similar to @Crayola I have a second hand loom to salvage. For other plugs I am depinning and trying to find replacement terminals. More so for future proofing if possible

I put a cable tie around it to hold it to the metal support bar above. And some rubber edge trim to stop it rubbing on the body. The cone still rubbed on the battery and fuse box. I'm thinking of going with the thinner ProRam filter to minimise rub. This style:

Tapping from left had side of engine

Apply some pressure to the engine mount and any other rails/covers around the area and see if it quietens down before taking apart

Tapping from left had side of engine

It does sound like something could be loose, or something is knocking into something else 🤔 Was it the same before the work was done on the engine? I have a different 1.2 engine in mine (D4F) and it doesn't make such a noise How long ago was your last engine belts service and how much...

    White smoke from Exhaust

Cant possibly think why *Edit: sorry wrong car, but you should put pops and bangs on a Wind that would be mental

Tapping from left had side of engine

Yes belt plus idler pulley as you say. If it isn't valves it could potentially be carbon cannister, worth unplugging to make sure its not that causing the noise (it will throw an error code when unplugged) I would tighten up the engine mount bolts to spec as well just to be sure Do you have a...

Tapping from left had side of engine

Usually the valves are tappy on top When was the belt/tensioner last done? Is the engine side cover/mount torqued up correctly?

Looking at the invoices I know the sensor has been changed on mine but I don't know about the loom. Looks like shrink tube on the black wire..., will find out when I next pull the airbox My loom is cream/black and the Hella replacement is red/blue 🥴 did you go genuine?

172 Cup suddenly developed a firing issue. Help!

Hella and Febi do them for about £20 with loom, you can get a genuine one for £60 Renault Parts direct + £24 for the loom bringing it up to £90 or so with delivery I have a Hella one as my backup, but not yet had to fit it so can't recommend it as such EDIT: Some private sellers have genuine...

    Need help please

Looks like a one way valve, maybe PCV/vacuum system? If faulty it would cause a high idle but not specifically a cylinder misfire Have you tried moving the cylinder 3 injector to say cylinder one and see if the misfire moves with it? If it's not the injectors you may be chasing electrical...

Got the rear in the air to change pads / paint calipers / see if there are any dirty secrets What in the actual f**k is this repair. Exhaust mount, hose clipped, to a riveted bumper mount... At least I hope that's an attempted repair. I have a contact for a welder to fix the silencer, but...

Cross compatible parts between mk2 ph2 non sports and the 172/182

You can also run Peugeot 207 2L front calliper's on standard 1.2 knuckles (with spacers) which let you run 280mm discs. Pedal gets longer but the stopping power is greater I was going to say you can pretty much swap anything over can't you, the question is at want point should you just buy the...

Cross compatible parts between mk2 ph2 non sports and the 172/182

As an owner of a 1.2 and a 172, no not really Maybe suspension if you want to go down coilovers route, knuckle spacing maybe wrong though No power mods are available aside from putting the 2L engine in it, but then you would just buy a 172/182 If you have any specific queries go for it, I...

    Headlight adjustment / motor

    Headlight adjustment / motor

Put mine about halfway, then adjusted it when back on the car using a wall to set it level (Engine on if its self levelling) Does the motor work when you adjust the lights? (to confirm the motor works) Did you have to unhook the ball from its mount or did it come out easily? (If it was...
