I'm an noob....the struts are going to be replaced yea? So why should it matter? Unless where they attach is different - which is probably more the case?
Thanks for the reply.
I guess I'll have to get my tape measure out lol. The rotors are after-market (EBC crap) on standard (whatever they are) calipers.
Thanks for the tip on the hubs.
Hey guys another question from the guy with the f'd car.
Car is a "conversion" from a 1.2 to a 182. OK I'm a tit and shouldn't have gone near it without a full professional inspection. That said...
Why are the sports wider than the non-sports?
Do they have longer drive shafts or something...
Hey guys, since I've had the car it's a dog on very cold starts (like you can't move it for about 60secs till it gets over its cough).
Recently the engine check light (lower right on the 182 dials) came on, and the coughing magically stopped. Didn't go into any limp mode and felt the same to...
This bloody car has been bodged together by a cowboy. I'm such a t**t for buying it.
Apart form loads of other problems I need new suspension all round. I want to keep coil-overs, ideally with some adjustment in them.
Bloody expensive French cars!
Hey guys.
Car's p****ng me off atm. I've been having clunking noises occasionaly comming from the front near side, on pot holes and turning into the drive etc. I didn't think too much of it (one to the list of things to check) until one day I pulled out the drive, it clunked...drove off and...
Hey guys, wondering if anyone can help.
On the car ('54 Clio) is FK coilovers (non-adjustable, bar height) I think they're the High-Sport. When I've had the wheels off a few months ago I noticed both inner arch areas to have a bit of oil, along with the actual suspension units to be oily.
I...
Kwick fit LOLOLOL hahahaha (sorry)
I'd travel to get a good job. A real good job.
If you can afford it get it corner weighed too but make sure you get it done somewhere where they know what they're doing. As a rule of thumb I wouldn't even take mine to Demon Tweaks.
Don't cover the drain holes (OBVIOUSLY) and the roof rattle should be fixed with the silicone. Also tighten up all the star nut things. You can wrap some soft rubber around the "bar"/handle which can stop the rattle too.
One fix = free (or £3 for decent grease) and you keep your sunroof...
Talking about the manual tilt one?
Unclip it and take it off (takes 10 secs). Then check the drain holes are unblocked and use 100% (or as close as you can to, 100% is impossible....divers O-Ring grease cheap) silicone grease around all the rubber.
No need. Go V-Power all the way.
If your engine is "loose" then it's a catch 22 - better to know, but almost better not to (ignorance is bliss).
EDIT: Damn I'm pissed forget it
Not to my tastes, not the worst I've seen by far.
I'm not one to take the mick out of other peoples tastes - it's up to them what they do and jumping on the hate wagon isn't something I do. If they like it and it's what they want then I feel they shouldn't be overly ripped for it.
lol no not at all - £250 is a fair wedge in anyones book I agree, which is why it's easy to say "nah I won't bother". But as said that's a full, professional setup.
If you like driving "spiritedly" though I personally can't recommend it enough. Suspension is so important to handling so in the...
Grease up the rotor too see if that helps.
No don't that was only a joke (can't be too careful)
(Oh do you use a pressure washer, might be removing said grease)
You can't say corner weighing is useless - agreed the balance will be off with passengers or stuff in the boot, that's why when I'm out for a fast run around North Wales I'm on my own, with a 3/4 full tank and nothing in the boot. When corner weighed they should use your weight as ballast and...
