Yea, I have a K&N panel filter as well mate. The only reason I ask is because I have a 75mm Pipercross cold air feed running to my box, going to where the original pipe was located and I feel the filter would work much better if it can get cooler air into it, so if you improve the cold air feed...

Personally I think they just dont want you to have 17's on because its non standard. Anything up to 2 inches bigger than your original factory standard wheel is ok, it is recommended not to fit anything over 2 inches then standard because it can cause problems. That garage is talking chocolate...
