dajones, do you find it's stable? Been reading on XDA about bug "xyz", usually Youtube related or some users reporting black screens after a phone call.
News to me, not seen any such issues on the forums - most of the issues I see are:
"why doesn't my battery last a week"
"SMS notifications nor disappearing"
The second issue is a result of an update 1.72 that HTC pushed and since withdrawn. That said my phone has rebooted itself on occasion...
gabi, I use Exchange for my work email, Exchange for my Gmail account and POP3 for my Hotmail. No problems at all, email lands instantly, plenty of functionality and good sorting/search options, more reliable when it comes to meeting requests as well than the iPhone, which is still broken...
Download 'Tasker' you can do anything with it. There's a learning curve but it's a great app.
Regarding battery life, give it a week and it will improve. However also go to settings and ensure that services aren't syncing every hour.
The most recent OTA update improved mine, however it's...
How you finding the new keyboard with GB Rasclart, compared to the iPhone? For me it's the only area the iPhone is better at, compared to my DHD (on Froyo).
Finally managed to 1st place on NASCAR seasonal, 10x tries on steering wheel equalled failure. Secondly attempt on DS3 part equalled win!
Anybody else find keeping the NASCAR in a straight line and challenge with their wheel, compared to pad?
BTW, could someone be kind enough to lend me...
Memory trick? Do tell...
Also doing the NASCAR Nurburg seasonal (who's fking idea was it to put those P.O.S around a course with bends in it?), on my third attempt last night when I nearly launched my steering wheel... span, came 6th. Found a half decent setup, but feel free to share specifics...
Can anybody tell me why you need to make like 5 button presses to buy a mod from the tuning shop?
Buy, confirm, yes I want to f**king fit it, installation complete, back... repeat X8!
Does the DHD have an alphanumeric keyboard?
Yes, either predictive or non-predictive. If you turn it landscape you get the QWERTY pad. That said there's 6/7 good keyboards on the market (Swiftkey (my fav), Swype, Better Keyboard, et al). I'd do the swap personally, can recommend the DHD...
The screen is bigger, so the phones bigger. I agree I wouldn't want it any bigger, and it's probably not a phone for ladies or those with small hands but I like the size - it matters :)
As for it being the same, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
Not the same at all.
DHD has a 4.3" SLCD screen, 768MB RAM, faster Qualcomm CPU, 8MP camera, dual Xenon flash. Oh and it's not made by Fisher Price. Both are good phones mind, just Samsung are lame with fixing issues and releasing updates.
BRUN, battery is as you'd expect, shocking to begin...
Small, uses zero power and silent, similar properties to a paperweight then.
There's too many better devices on the market, Apple dropped the ball with this tbh.
Im a massive troll.
I ordered a Sony KDL40NX503 (40", LCD, Bravia 3, Internet TV) the other day from Very (shop direct) for £350 on a 14 month interest free deal (£399. 99 -10% first order discount, -delivery charge and some also used Quidco an for it for less potentially).
Cracking deal I thought, only 50Hz, but...
If you buy a decent TV, you buy it for the picture/functions/space saving though, right? Otherwise we'd still be using CRT's and enjoying superior SQ. Just buy a media bar, or connect it to an external source... a £10 set of 2.1 speakers will outshine 95% of the included LCD/LED/Plasma speakers.
For £600 I'd be looking at:
Sony KDL40NX703 - LED
LG 50PK590 - PLASMA
Panasonic 42G20 - PLASMA
Personally don't like Samsungs and their colour rendering. Look to Pricematch from shops like JL and Richer Sounds.
Hers is the one that came with Tiger, 2008?
Been like it for ages and when I researched it the part was like £95 from Mac Warehouse I think. Figured Apple wouldn't care about an out of warranty machine.
Wife's is exactly the same, must be a design flaw. It's well out of warranty mind, and because of the crappy design, you have to replace the whole part, keyboard + palm rest = £100ish from memory.
