My FZ31Z has a BD-RW drive, used it precisely once to watch a film. I have a PS3 for that, so the only media use this gets is streaming things via my PS3. Beisdes BD-R is still too expensive for my liking. For the record, I'm not spending my own money... business perk as we're not getting...

Replacing my Vaio FZ31Z (well, I'm keeping it, but it stays on a desk), for a new portable. The failings of this one basically amount to diabolical battery life, buggy touchpad and it's too big (15.4) and heavy to lug around. I do like Vaio laptops, so am weighing up the Z21, and the TT11 range...

Nope, option 1 is the correct method. You'll need to go through Sound setup and tell it to output via optical. 5.1 is all it will carry though, no 7.1HD - you need HDMI for that. I'd suggest checking RicherSounds for a clearance/ex-demo jobbie, see loads for £100.

Agreed, anybody that's not played the first should get a copy first. Awesome game in pretty much every sense. High hopes for the second, couldn't give a monkeys about the MP mode though, hope it doesn't detract from the SP at all.

I later found out that they throttle you to 75% your connection speed if you down a fixed amount during 'peak' hours. There's a breakdown somewhere, but it's like 750mb between 10am-3pm and 1500mb between 4pm-8pm. Homo's!

Back in the day it was just modifying a docsis file, which in later revisions had a certificate attached to it. Not sure the old modems still work though, good old Surfboard :) My line is up and down like a cheap wh0re, sometimes 9Mbit, now 2 again....one more day of it and I'll be phoning...

Well I filled in my registration on the 10th, and they upgraded me to 10Mbit yesterday, not bad...but it must be automated, they're never that efficient.

Get some Jays for under £50. Over £50 I'd recommend my Shure SE-210's.
