Spotted the silver 172 with a nurburgring sticker going clockwise at about 5ish I think between the tolls and J4... gave you a little wave then spotted a LY 197 heading anti clockwise at about 9pm at about J2-3...

A friend of mine has a mk2 1.6 and the drivers side window stopped working one day with a big clunk! on taking it apart it seems that the plastic clip thing that pushes through the hole in the window has broken into several pieces, meaning all the pulley wires have come off I've had a look...

:o re: my trip computer, oh hai I've since flashed my ecu to the correct calibration (it was a Megane f4r before!) and now the mpg thingy works! huzzah! :D all that remains is connecting it up to the fuel tank. I need to add a resistor in to compensate for the tank size difference...

the rail itself is about £15 from renault (it goes up if you want the FPR)

but if the 16v alt and the 172 alt are swappable with the PAS setup, why aren't they swappable on the non-PAS setup?

Sent my old map (from ECU Clinic) off to Henk@Fastchip to see what exactly it was... would've bugged the hell out of me otherwise :D turns out it's from the megane 1 with the F4R? fail.

Spotted heading East on the M4 today at about 5-6pm I think - near Reading was low and had black badges n'stuff.

it got reasonably hot yeh! mine's a battery powered effort, so it usually coincided with the battery running out. I could probably do 1/2 a port per charge

the good ones survive ;) my engine and front end is probably newer than your car ;)

another quick update flashed my ecu to group n with rstuner and a friend soldered on an emulator for me! result is a 100% functioning 172 ecu with a 7500rpm limit instead of 6000/6500 and smooth idle and no more hesitations!! the difference is phenomenal :o was doing about 37mpg on my...

its good for diagnostics i guess - which is handy for the teething issues of my conversion its a ph1 valver shell with Williams widetrack (+lowered), straight through exhaust (+decat) and a magnex backbox ph1 172 engine!! inlet matched manifold heat wrapped etc... engine itself is standard...

think the group n is only for the ph1 172 with the cable throttle
