Theres no difference, i have a 1.4S and my mate has the 1.4RT and they are both as fast as each other... his is a little nippyer cos hes still got standard wheels on, and i have alloys, but apart from that there is no difference. (ours are mk1/ph1s, but its the same for all the mk1s)
