Speak to a specialist. BTM, 519, TDF......... Im no expert, but 250 out of a NA 2 litre engine seems a bit optimistic without a shed load of work and money.....
So what? Its only an exhaust. Yes, you possibly should have bought a better one in the first place, but dont feel that theyve got you over a barrel for the sake of 'warranty' on a £200 piece of metal pipe. If you know someone that can weld, let them loose on it!! Saves having the thing rattling...
To be honest, it sees 6k at least once during any drive of a decent length, not sure if that constitutes a thrashing, but i've not had it on track. I think the previous owner may have though......
Cheers again fella! What sensors are cruise control specific?? Id assume it takes wheel speed from somewhere, and has some sort of input into the throttle asembly??
I was driving down the motorway, cruise on, 70 mph, happy days, when it decided to disengage on its own. The selector switch on the bottom right console basically self selected itself back to the central position.
On trying to re select the cruise selection, it wouldnt stay in position. The...
Jumped in my 182 today and as per usual, checked the oil indication before starting it up. Recently its shown 1 dash and the rest 'o's which equates to just below the max mark on the dipstick, but above halfway between 'max' and 'min'. Today however, it was showing only 2 'o's and the rest...
Haha, though to be fair, we havent heard the lads reasoning for wanting 'semi slick' tyres on his car.
I would assume, by the fact that hes considering such a mismatch of sizes and types of tyre, that hes just another clownshoe who wants to waste money on something he doesnt need because he...
I think they look alright, the mesh top recaros look a little like the ones you got in old (rwd) escorts.... Definately a cool car IMO. But then again, im well on my way to my 30's and what I think to be cool probably isnt in tune with the yoof of today...
I must admit im a fan of the ford range of that vintage, the mondeo and focus was good too, definately nicer places to be than their vauxhall or french equivalents..... IMO, of course.
From that list, id go for the Zetec S, or the ST if insurance can stretch. Ive driven a few on that shape fiesta (both base models) and they were a nice drive. A mate had an ST foe a while and the only fault he had with it wasnt great for motorway cruising, pulling about 4k RPM at 70 IIRC, not...
I agree with SteBurns on the ugly appeal. Sure, it may not impress the birds/non car savvy mates, but, from the accounts of people whove owned and driven them, youll have the last laugh when it comes to thrashing the thing about..... Function over Form. But as Jay.S says, which one do you like...
Try and get another years NCB and savings under your belt and get something else??? And, may I ask, why you want a 'warm hatch' ??? Does the handling and point to point (or track) performance of a car have a strong input in your decision?? If not, you could probably widen your horizons...
