picked up my 04 plate arctic blue 182 on weds, fooooookin lovely car! Bn reading the manual and it says that the trip computer has 2 settings for measuring mpg: an average mpg setting, and a current mpg setting, however, on my trip computer there only seems to be one setting, average mpg, no...
im currently looking at buying a 182 but im struggling to find a decent one for around my £8500 budget, but there are loads of clio 172 cups i could afford!
im just wondering if the 182 is worth the extra money!
p.s. anyone got a black 182 with cup pack they wana sell me??
chris :P
alrite, im currently looking at buying a 182 for around the £8.5-9k mark, just after a bit of advice really.
ive had a clio 16v before so i know these little cars with big engines can be oh so troublesome!
Just need to know what to look out for really, i know they're relatively new cars...
few days ago i was driving along the motorway and my brakes completely went, no pressure in the pedal, foot went to the floor, no braking whatsoever
so i took it to local garage and they said needed new rear calipers, discs, pads etc cos id lost a pad somewhere and the piston had popped out...
......how do you rate them? im after one but im still undecided about which sealed induction kit will be best
also, how much did u pay? did u need to make any sort of adaptor to fit it on the throttle body?
managed to melt my throttle body plastic cover on my zorst manifold the other nite, must have got loose and slipped onto the manifold when i dropped a gear lol
car stank of melted plastic for a bit, was fun trying to hack the plastic off with a screwdriver in pitch black and freezing cold nite...
right ive gone from a piper x sh*tty cone filter, bk to the std airbox, and now am testing deans sealed induction kit.
i must say i think the sealed kit is the best for performance so far and id like to buy one, but id need an adapter making for it to fit the valver throttle body right...
before my gearbox went i could hit about 70 in 2nd gear, ive had the box overhauled completely so its more or less new and the guy that did it said all ratios were the same
however, ive had the car back for a few days and i can now only get to 65 in 2nd gear
do the new components just...
it pissed out all its engine oil last nite, got it on the ramps this mornin and theres a big hole in the gearbox casing.
new gearbox it is then
cant afford to keep on havin stuff like this go on me, i love the car but i just cant afford it.
so im thinkin of sellin up, ive only had it since...
..........at an alarming rate :(
is ok to drive at the mo but i duno if itll be ok in the mornin to take to a garage :S
dean reckons its driveshaft seal as its coming from right where the driveshaft connects to the gearbox
.............im bloody sick of em!! its a new noise everyday and its always fun playing wots that smell
theres nowt like buying french to know youve spent your money wisely LOL
........wot are u thinkin about having dun???
i fancy a grey dial face (maybe brushed alu) with blue notches and clio 16v written in a small subtle font, with blue backlight.
...........but then i saw that they do silver with an ice blue flip and i thought mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
im after a closed air induction kit for my clio 16v, i would like some opinions/advice from ppl who have tried them on their valvers.
wot do u recommend?
.......and OMG it feel so much faster!!! just pulls better from much lower down in the rev range
the car feels smoother and it also a lot quieter.
doesnt sound as gud as the piperx tho but i can forgive that for the performance hike :D
ive been told that you just pull the stalk back and it should click into place?? is this right?
as with mine you have to switch the lights off altogether and pull the stalk back but you have to hold it in place because it doesnt click.
am i just bein daft or is it broke?
i can get to around 122mph in 4th just before the limiter and then as soon as i change up into 5th it goes dead, nothing, no pull at all
my car is on 17s and my mods are superchip, piperx, and full magnex system with de-cat.
the car has just had a full service also
any ideas ppl?
when i turn hard on left bends i get a funny knocking noise from my right hand side wheel, at first i thought it was scrubbage, but no, then i thought it mite be my bottom arm, but sum1 sed that it mite be my driveshaft.
also, the car really understeers when this happens, its a 1995 clio 16v...
how many miles can you get out of a full tank of petrol on a clio valver then?
ive dun 210 so far on mine from a full tank and ive still got just over 1/4 tank left
my mods are superchip, de-cat, full magnex, and piper x
shud it really be this bad on petrol?
ive got a clio 16v with superchip, piper x cone filter, de-cat, and magnex full exhaust system
am going to get a hill power chip and a closed induction kit
wot power do u think im pushing out at the mo? and wot difference do u think better chip and induction kit would make?
just got my clio 16v last week and an engine mount went on the way bk frm work tonite :(
its the one underneath the battery
any ideas where i can get one for a decent price?
