Exactly si. paying 2k for a set of rims is not really something i would even consider because of the depreciation on them as soon as you put them on. will lose £1k as soon as they are fitted pretty much. Keeping my eyes open on the honda forums in the hope that a set will come up in a lower...
lol cheers mate.
lol si put it this way if a set were to come up at a reasonable price i would snap them up immediately. Its difficult to find a set in the uk with a low offset though. cheers si and lol he wasnt long up. Will definitely give you a shout si if we do head down. The ring trip is...
GAZ- Charger doesn't need rebuilt. Boosts fine but needs decent management and a map. Hopefully getting done by henry roy next month sometime when i find the time to take it down.
cheers chris. lol they do need a bit of spacing but will see what happens. would rather look for a set of reggas...
Progress picked up abit last week, finally got exams out of the way(for the next while anyway) so managed to get some stuff done while i was home in the weekend.
Bought a few tools at the start of the month.
Low entry jack.
24 volt cordless impact wrench...
yeh can imagine the general running costs being insane for competition use unless you have big sponsors. Everything on them costs a fortune. I remember looking into the f1 rain lights and they were £1200 to buy each.
very cool indeed. wonder how much that would set you back to buy at an auction. Remember seeing a different honda f1(think it was 2006 car?) car being advertised for £100k last year. It was complete bar the engine and steering wheel.
si this is torture haha. The k series sits beautifully in the ek engine bays. I think one day i will have to have a k powered civic eg or ek but cant bring myself to throw £6k+ for an engine swap at the moment.
The yanks know how to do things properly. having access to cheaper parts, smoother...
yeh would have to be bronze 16's, although white ce28n's would work too. Dont think i could paint the raggas i have now but if a set came up that needed refurbed and were low offset and preferably 16's i would snap them up. loved the ones in the link you posted up not too long ago.
Thanks for the comments :)
They are great fun even in standard forum. It never too late danny ;)
Ant's old c's charged 9 made 230bhp at 5psi and that was non intercooled. These positive displacement superchargers produce alot of heat so good gains can be had by reducing the crazy intake...
Sounds like you have had very little luck man. As for importing a 9er yourself well thats nto a bad idea but could be risky even though the japs do tend to describe things very accurately from what i have seen in terms of things like auction papers etc. I would speak to dunk or somewhere like...
Haha chris, a k-swapped ek would be a riot but in the end i just couldn't justify spending £6k on a swap for no power advantage over the current set up. Will see what its running when it gets mapped first and see what happens after that. planning on pushing up the boost slightly before it gets...
Thanks :)
Planned to fit the spoon b pipe so in anticipation of the bolts snapping off i ordered some new bolts, nuts and springs and a new doughnut gasket.
Put the car on the ramp and jacked the front up.
Old b pipe with cat still attached
Spoon b pipe with the 2.5"...
