It may be the case that the ABS ring changed doesnt have the same number of teeth as the original. I would replace the disks first as they sound like they need changing then see if the problem remains.

172 lower arms are easy to get iv ordered 6 in the last year they are £57 each with new ball joints i replaced a set last week - no pattern parts make 172 ones you must buy genuine
you need the calipers disks hubs handbrake cables brake pipes and ABS sensors. a 172 beam will cost you £120 or so and its a straight swap for the one you have
I found Green stuff to be hit and miss, ds2500 to squeek and not as good initial bite im back onto tar ox corsas they are brilliant pads imo and just over £50 an axle set.

ive just seen so many conversions now in my days and all of them have gone over budget.
why not get a kit that has Climate control ? im sure matt could sort you out
