Yea well was a bit bored, waited all day for a call from a friend i was meant to be meeting, but still never got it. The reason i started looking into it was that i had a cover before, but was getting annoyed at it as was dirty and the trim bits were coming off at the side, couldn't be bothered...
also to add although it sticks to itself really well, (i found it hard to put the seams apart afterwards), the stuff is not sticky to touch atall, quite waxy.
Got my thinking cap on this morning and came up with an idea to sort out the steering problem as the cover i got last year looks really tacky after only 6months ish, not sure how long this will last, and weather it will end up melting into the wheel as well, will need to keep checking it.
The...
yea they're nice.
Won't help you as ur in Scotland from the looks of it, but anyone in the southwest Trago Mills have them for around £5 each atm (btw Trago Mills is a legend of a store, worth visiting one if your in Cornwall or south Devon! Just take lots of money as the few quid here and there...
Seem to accumulated some reasonably large stone chips on the front of the bonnet, and with summer coming up it'd be nice to have the car looking reasonably nice. I've used a touch-up stick a few times now, but it keeps coming off the ones in question as they are through to the metal and have...
ah yea, took it to the garage and was charged alot for replacing the temp sensor, apparently the whole time they had it they didn't see the problem, but it came up on the diagnostic check. Just glad it's sorted and i don't need to worry about a flat battery everytime i walk to the car!
i'd love to have a actual darkroom to do the photos aswell, but student housing puts a stop to that! although fingers crossed, next year moving in with my bf and his student house landlord is very flexible and its more of a standard renting agreement, so theres possibility i can covert the shed...
ah kwl, i've never got used to digital for proper pictures, have a compact for quick shots and a bridge to the mid range, but have always preferred 35mm for the important shots, no real idea why though, but i think it's the preparation and then knowing there is a decent photo, instead of hoping...
Is it the aspire one?
I installed ubuntu netbook remix on a friend of my mums son aspire one at the weekend and runs great, alot better than windows, and will only take a bit of getting used too, only prob will be the inability to run windows programs, would be fine for web browsing and office...
just wondering if anyone here still does film processing?
Dug out my old 35mm camera and have taken a couple rolls of film so now hopefully gonna process them! Its been about 3 years since i last did any rolls and that was in college with plenty of people of ask for help, so was wondering if...
Thought i'd post it up, in case it's of interest to anyone here, but whilst wondering around a local poundland i found a load of 60x40cm microfiber cloths in a couple of places. not sure of national availability but they were in the Truro one.
For a pound they seem to be quite handy for...
went for a short <10min drive this morning to the shop came home, swithed off and noticed thee fan was running, but though nothing of it, then about 3 hours later I found it was still running, to save the battery i've disconnected it atm (actually i disconnected it and then reconnected and it...
heh, no worries, actually only almost an engineer! still have to finish of my year placement and final year at uni! But i wouldn't worry about being patronising, some of the stuff i've heard is awful, some people seem to see a Female and immediately change their attitude. Worst was being refused...
Ah kwl, I'll give it a go and see! It's really handy to know that it shouldn't damage to much cutting it off, it was worrying they might have done something stupid like trailed the wire up and back down, so cutting it in half work actually 1/4 it or something! I've got an idea with the rubber...
Hey thanks for the honesty, I hadn't even though of them being chavvy, and thats defo not a look i want (thats my brothers job in his Astra!)
How often do Aerials get nicked? i hadn't choose the richbrook one becuase of that, just because I though it'd be a name I could trust in. Until the...
spent hours washing mine on saturday, polished it, blacked the bumpers and side strips again, had dried all the body work, was just polishing up and drying the very last window, and it started raining! not only did the car get soaked again, so did I! was so annoyed!
Cleaned the car at the weekend, and now annoyed at all the little things wrong with it again and the fact the rubber at the bottom of the aerial is horrible to look at is the cheapest prob to sort, so i really need a black aerial that will look really nice on the clio aerial mount, would the...
ah right, so i'm guessing this will make receipts for it originally and for all work done since alot more important than it has before when buying second hand. At least you'd know what to declare then
so how would this work if u had a particular spec, so for example, i've call mine a 1.5 clio, but would i need to declare that it's billabong spec and have that increase the insurace from standard?
lol when we sold the mk3 fiesta private i think we just said fiesta, not that it was the special...
ah right, thanks, i'll put that in for the time being then. Was looking at ur site, and realised ur the same opie oils that all our fuel and oil and stuff comes from at home, we're farming in Stithians.
If i was to buy some other oil from you, plus i'll still need filters and stuff, do you have...
ah right, well that makes sense, i was thinking of just using some 7-segs as i've got a bunch kicking around and will use an aurduino or pic so can drive them prity simply. which i imaging will be reasonably sharp (i'll use the red ones), have needed to filter down the ones in my clock, didn't...
hi, just realised i've done 8600 miles in my car now, and just wondering do i need an oil changed soon, as i've read lots of different mileages for it to be done? it's the 1.5dci and i do v.short trips 5 days a week, and then a couple hundred miles most weekends (occasionally 600 mile trips...
Was looking today and although i've appeared to ask stuff randomly over the last 7 months i've had my clio for, i realised i'd not actually introduced my self!
So I'm a electronics student at Bath university studying computers, electronics and communications, although during this year i'm on...
not sure if this is the right place to be asking, but hoping someone might have some ideas on if my idea could actually become a project, or if it's just slightly nuts, wont work, or even if it'd be legal!
so my being an electronic engineering student, but on placement working on computers...
i've got the mex-bt4700 and it's great, not sure what the difference is between the 2700 and 4700 is though, only probs i find is the bluetooth to my phone drops whilst driving sometimes, although this has never happened whilst on a call! the call quality is resonable, i've never heard it myself...
