Hi,
I have got an 02 172 mk2 and I am thinking about changing the exhaust but cant make my mind up as to which one to buy. Looking for one that isnt too loud but sounds and looks good, dont want a lot of noise on the motorway as I have to travel on them everyday.
On my last clio a 95M 16V I...
Hi,
If you only have a few small chips / scratches then you may want to consider a company called Chipsaway, They did my old 16V and did an excellent job only charged £89 as well !! I had mine done at Halfords but I think they do a mobile service as well. There website is...

Looks cool, Dont think it would be easy to do to the mk2 172 as it looks like the headlights are sealed. Plus if you break them they are expensive
You might get your arm in and get the filter off but best of luck getting back out !! a real pain, you will see why Renault charge so much to do it after you have tried.
Wont it have had its oil changed at 60K?
Mark
Ditch the standard one, mine used to have problems when switching between radio and CD, plus it sounded sh*te !! Spend a few quid on a decent head unit and you will see the benifit straight away !!
I dont see many at work, maybe thats because I work for Landrover at Gaydon and they all own crappy focuss or Discoverys yuk !!
And they get them cheap and moan all day about the costs !!
There are a few 172s around where I live mainly in silver, only ever seen one other than mine in blue...

Look out for history regarding the cam belt change if I remember correctly its due about 60,000 miles and it is expensive !! I had mine done about a year before I sold it along with a new cam seal and a small oil leak and it cost a grand at Renault !!
Goatboy,
I have to agree with Mitsi 16Valvers rock !! I had one for five years before getting an 02 172, Worth spending the extra and getting the 16v instead of the RSI. Cant comment to much on leg and headroom as I am not as tall as you, but they definatley have more room than my new one ...
My old phase 2 M95 Clio also had that button that seemed to do nothing when pressed, I thought at first it might have been something to do with the intermitant wiper speed, but was wrong. After finally giving in and reading the owners handbook it said it was related to the immobiliser, still...

Hi KOna,
You do encounter some noise from the pads uder very heavy braking, but I think that its was down to the fact that I was running grooved and Xdrilled discs with them and the noise came from the pad biting against the groove. I am yet to run 1144s on standard discs ( considering it as...
