yeah all the electrics inside the car work. i think it is the starter motor but my brother thinks it may be something in the wiring.

hi everyone basically my car is refusing to start! the starter motor is doing nothing and whenever i turn the key nothing happens at all, no attempt to tickover! was wondering if anyone could think of any possible reasons, we already tried tow starting but to no avail. btw i have a 92 mk1...

i took mine out, used an engine crane. was much easier than loosening the subframe. iirc though u loosen the bolts on the drivers side and take them off on the passenger side

does anyone know if a starter motor from something like a valver would work on a 1.4 rt? sorry if its completey stupid to ask

i had to take my gearbox out and it was a right tough job! dunno bout how hard it will be to swap from auto to manual
